Cane breathed heavily as Raelin rolled from off the top of him and under the covers. The two stared at the ceiling in comfortable silence until Cane began to speak, "I always wanted to be the one that you trusted enough to take your virginity," He admitted, making Raelin guiltily shut her eyes, knowing how upset he'd be if he ever knew that Tariq was actually the one who took it.
"I know I tell you this a lot, but I really am sorry for all the shit I've done to you in the past." Cane continued to apologize. "Thank you for giving me a second chance, even though I don't deserve it." He softly smiled, causing Raelin to finally open her eyes. "It's actually your fourth chance but hey," She teased, as Cane jokingly rolled his eyes. "I'm playing," Rae chuckled, as she caressed his face while looking into his eyes. "I forgive you, Cane. Professor Milgram immediately ran over to the blackboard and began to write something across it, "Karma?" Raelin knew that Carrie wouldn't be stupid enough to say anything to her about this chosen subject, considering how scared of her Godmother she was, so she wondered who she was throwing hints at.
"But isn't this more theological than ethical?" Raelin asked. "Perhaps. Who can define karma for me?" Professor Milgram asked the class, "Karma's the belief in certain Indian religions that our actions, good or bad, can affect our future lives." Lauren answered. "And why would that be important in ethical discourse? Tariq, enlighten us."
"Well, it provides, you know, incentive for moral action. Karma is the law of cause and effect." Tariq replied. "Exactly. You know, I was just thinking how interesting..." Rashad was soon cut off by Carrie who continued to press Tariq. "I think you can dig deeper, Tariq."
Raelin wrinkled her forehead as she looked between Carrie and Tariq, wondering if she knew about what he and Cane did. "Karma's basically if you do dirt, then you get it right back." Brushaundria responded to the question. "Yeah, and then..."
