Bashir's POV
After my encounter with the mysterious beautiful girl, I came back to my senses and hurriedly went out looking for Rabiu after splitting for hours. I walked towards a market place , the buying and selling was done casually as the atmosphere was gloomy. Some people look at me and pass while some greeted me in Shendam language which I could not understand.
It was getting late at night and I haven't found Rabiu yet. What could have happened? Did he proceed to the camp without me? "Bashir! I heard someone whispered my name hiding in the corner of a wall. I turned and it was Rabiu.
"Where the hell have you been?!! I asked angrily.
"I'll explain later, but we must leave now. He hastily said and started walking out of the palace and I followed him confused.

"What happened? I asked Rabiu as we entered my chambers in the tent.
"Bashir the king made you signed a forged treaty. He said worriedly.
"A forged treaty?! Are you sure about this??? I asked feeling my anger boiling up.
"Yes! During our time at the palace I went over to their royal court and pretended to be a member of their surviving army. The king and his administrators are warming up for a revolt, he had sent words to the King of Kanuri requesting for his alliance since they are our enemies.
"What!?????? How dare he!? I spat. The Gamai has done himself and kingdom a huge mistake! I spared him and agreed to a treaty after he pleaded. I bitterly said thoughtfully stroking my beard.
"That is not all Agagu, Rabiu continues, He had sent words to the British authorities in Kano and His allied Kingdoms in Cameroon as well. This doesn't seem like a regular war to me, I fear it will be bloody.
I angrily kicked a stool across the chamber and rub my head aggressively. Noo. I can't waste my time on this worthless battle. I was already eating portions out of King Babis kingdom. This is just a distraction! I know what to do. I must take the girl and wipe out that pathetic kingdom!
"Agaguuu!! Rabiu yelled out as I came back from my thoughts. " What should we do!? He asked looking disturbed.
"Nothing for now. We must not alert the soldiers or General Akubo about this information. I have a plan. I said.
"I always trust your judgment, Rabiu said and bowed and exist my chambers.
I paced up and down my chambers as my fury got to its peak with every thoughts. I would normally destroyed the kingdom without a second thought, but there's a treasure I've found there. If I should wage a war, she will be affected and I do not want that to happen. I must carefully handle this. Yes, I must!

The next day I took a stroll to the lake where I saw the girl hoping I'd see her there too. A single look at her would calm my nerves. I walked through the forest and thick bush until I got to the lake, my eyes searched for her but the lake was still and quiet. I disappointedly turned back to take my leave as I heard the most melodious voice.
"Earth to you Warrior. I turned back with a smile as my heart felt lighter.
"Greetings fair one. I casually said hiding my extreme excitement.
