I walked through the empty hallway of the hospital. Ever since I found out that Delilah has cancer, I have hated the hospitals, but now it's the only place where I feel safe and normal.
"Miss the visiting time is over," a nurse told me as she walked by and I nodded.
I didn't want to go back home where mummy cried and daddy told me that it was my fault.
I exited the hospital and started walking toward the Petrov mansion.
Where my best friends Aleksei and Alice live, they still don't know what happened and why I randomly shut down.
I walked out on the streets with cars driving past me and ambulance sirens flashing every once in a while.
I finally arrived at the gates of the mansion if I say it's big I mean it. They have guards everywhere.
Mr. Petrov or Artyom as he likes I call him trains me. He taught me how to shoot and how to fight.
He said and I quote "girls like you need to know how to take care of themselves, the beauty you have will be your advantage because people don't expect you to be pretty and dangerous at the same time"
After he said that we have been training three times every week for the past 5 months.
"Hey Michael, are they home?" I asked my favorite guard. He sent me a sad smile and shook his head.
"Hello miss Jones, no they needed to move to another country, I was just supposed to come to your house and tell you that" I nodded and he, I knew this would happen.
Mummy warned me that nobody will love me and all the people just pretend to care but at some point, they leave and don't care about me.
"Miss Alice wanted me to give you this, there is her number inside," he told me as he gave me a phone
I thanked him as he put the last thing into the car and started to drive away.
It was the last time I ever stepped foot into the gates of the mansion.
