Chapter 1

Goldie was walking down a narrow path not to far from ThunderClan, he was trying to avoid any cats who were on patrol, he already hid his sent, making sure not to crunch the leaffall leaves,

as a breeze went through his fur, his ear twitched to the chirping of birds and rustling of small creatures in the surrounding area, he loved hearing nature, he loved it so much, that he almost hated it, the fact that cats unlike himself wanted to kill such defenseless, and vulnerable animals; that made his fur stand on edge just thinking about it,

but Goldie wasn't so innocent himself, he had somewhat violent tendencies, not towards animals of course, but toward other cats and most times on accident,

Goldie came to a stop at a river to get some water, he sat and curled his tail around himself as he dipped his nose to touch the cold water, he felt the cold strike through his body chilling his insides, he liked the way it sent relief through him,

it gave him a happy feeling he then began to sip the water slowly,

" BOO!!" a she-cat screamed from behind him as she pushed him into the water,

SPLASH He felt the cold water engulf him, it felt like it was piercing his skin through his fur, as he swam back to the surface of the water to be met by the snickering face of one of his friend from RiverClan,

"LEOCLAW!" Goldie yelled angrily as he pulled himself out of the river,"You fleabag,"he mumbled to himself,

"Haha, chill out Goldenheart you'll be okay it's not that cold, if riverclan can swim out here in this weather, so can you." Leo said in a somewhat peppy tone,

Leoclaw was a white cat with a large amount of black spots with the left side of her face covered in a huge gray spot, with black paws, and she had deep blue eyes, he brushed himself against her fur, to stand beside her just to shake off,

"Hey! Stop that-"Leo said as she moved herself further away from him so she wouldn't get wet,

"I thought you liked this though?" He said as he step toward her still shaking as he then pounced on her playfully

"Haha very funny, get off me Goldenheart,"Leo said as she pushed him off shaking of the grass sticking to her fur, Goldy did the same,

"So what brings you to the river,"Leo said licking her paw,

"Other than getting water??"He said fidgeting with his paw,as he laid down on his side beside her,

"mhm"

"Oh well I was kinda hoping to talk to you by the way Goldie" Leo said leaning on him

"Yeah what's up?"Goldie said as he leaned back on her to look at the rising sun,

"Have you noticed I'm getting bigger?"She said shifting her tail.

"Ah- no i haven't.."Goldie knew what the news was and he knew this is what she wanted to talk to him about, because what happened a few moons ago,

"I'm gonna have your kits,"Leo said in a calm voice,

"WHAT?!?!"Goldie felt his whole world fall apart in that very moment, "SKYSTAR IS GONNA KILL ME!"he thought to himself as Leoclaw stopped leaning on him,

"And that's not even the best part, you my dear get to keep them as well"Leo said standing up,

"no no no no, Thunderclan will kill me, and you know this Leo"He gave her a pleading look,

Well to bad, my dad will kill me if he finds out-Leo said as she rested herself tuking her paws underneath her chest, wrapping her tail around,

Leo- I really cant though,Goldie said standing up looking down at Leo,

I'm sorry Goldenheart, really I am but this is what has to happen, I cant just run off with you to raise these kits my dad. He would hunt me down, kill me even" Leo said in a harsh serious tone, she looked up at him, her deep blue eyes glimmered.

He looked into them, sinking in thought

what am I gonna do.Leo I love you too much for this to come between us.

Fine, Ill take the kits, but I never mentioned running away, As the deputy of Thunderclan I cant just abandon my dutyGoldy said breaking the eye contact

Look I need to get going, its gonna get dark soon He bent down some rubbing his head against hers as if to say bye without words,

she looked somewhat upset like she wanted to speak but said nothing leaving him with silence as he started to head back to camp
