Stephen had never done this before. Never been on his own. Yet, he was confident in his goal. He enters an empty room in the warehouse.
There he sees 2 more duffle bags similar to Jord's.
He had never grasped the concept of money. But he knew it must be important. If master needed it so bad, it must be important.
He looks to the left and sees a metal pipe against the wall. He grabs it, effortlessly breaking it from the wall.
Then he makes his way towards the lounge, where the rest of the master's remained.
.....
Not long after he exits the lounge, dropping the bloody white pipe, he makes his way to the cages.
There, he sees rows and rows of men locked in cages and he breathes out. He opens one cage. Then another, and another, and another, till they were all open.
Then he steps back.
"Master is dead."he says before walking away.
He makes his way to the pit of corpses he had contributed to. Near the top, nearly covered in dirt, and gasping for air, was Ethan.
His friend. He grunts as he jumps down into the pit.
He dusts Ethan off and grunts, sitting him up and then lifting him on to his shoulders.
....Jane
I groan as I'm helped from the car.
"Take it slow."Amy says.
Amy and Francis are my next door neighbors.
Francis runs to open the door as Amy allows me to lean my weight on her.
"How are you feeling Jane? About the whole, Stephen situation?"she asks.
I huff, shaking my head.
"They couldn't have gone far. I bet I could find them if I loo-"suddenly I'm cut off by the sound of grunting.
I look over and see at the base of my driveway, 2 bloody men limping towards me.
I gasp as I release Amy.
Stephen, covered in blood, with recently buzzed hair, holding up Ethan as they both walked towards us.
Ethan was badly beaten, and Stephen, most likely the culprit.
I whimper as I limp towards them, running up and embracing them both in a hug.
They both hug me back.
"Fucking Christ it's him."Amy says, walking over to help.
"What happened? A-are you guys okay?"I ask, my hands cupping Stephen's cheeks and then Ethan's.
"E-ethan is hurt."Stephen says, handing Ethan over to Francis and Amy.
"What about you?"I ask, gripping both his hands.
He huffs and a small smile breaks the dried blood on his face.
"I won."he says.
"W-what about Jord? Where is he?"I ask.
He shakes his head and repeats.
"I won."
I smile slightly.
"You beat him, didn't you?"I ask.
He nods.
"I, am not a dog."he says softly.
"I'm Stephen. And Stephen doesn't want to fight anymore."
I nod, smiling.
"You don't have to. I promise."I say.
He smiles softly again.
