What we are learning from online education

The online education model proposed by Coursera

It is not a secreet that in most of the third world countries, education is a privilege, not all the population has access to higher education. This was a problem back in the days where the interntet was also a privilege. Now with the spread of internet access, new ways of eduactions are increasing. One of those is called Coursera, in that platform teachers from the best universities create different types of courses that are for free. Now more people can enroll to the course of their preference and for free. In my opinion this gives a new view of what is education and how it is given to the public. I want to lean about new thing or to learn new languages, now it is possible to find a lot of courses for free and the ones that are paid are even affordable. Now there are not more excuses to avoid learning. And this is not only for courses about mathematics or biology, you can find even courses about cooking or carpenter. Coursera has reached big amounts of peolpe, now I am pretty sure that other courses exist with a wide range of topics, people only have to look for them and enroll them.
