The next day..
I should've asked more questions, I thought. I glanced out the window at school and sighed. My nerves were getting the best of me know. Would I be stuck in Hell forever? Or would I continue living my life here and there, like Sabrina?
I shook my head to erase the thoughts from my head. Be happy! I'll be tied eternally to the love of my life soon. Maybe I'll have powers like Caliban said. What would that look like?
By the end of the day, I would Queen of Hell.
"Aye," Harvey whispered and poked at my cheek with his pencils, "What's up with you? You've been sour all day. You okay?"
I smiled at Harvey, "Yeah, I'm good, Harv. It's just..."
I haven't told anyone yet, actually I was going to just wait till it was all said and done to mention it to the group. I always felt like the group was a bit weary of Caliban and I's relationship, even though they did still support me in my decision to be with him. Roz and Theo had been great, but Harvey just seemed so uncomfortable with the idea still.
"Caliban?" He asked.
Shrugging half-heartedly, "It's more than just Caliban. Last night, I told him I was ready to be crowned Queen of Hell." I spoke. I picked at the old book on my desk, too shy to glance up and look at Harvey's face. We sat with a long pause between us for a few seconds before he spoke again.
"Queen... of Hell." He said it slowly, like he was still processing the thought. "What about Sabrina? What about your human life?"
"Sabrina is still mad at me. I understand, I do, but I'm doing what I think is right for me now. If it ever comes to a head, whoever comes out the winner- Caliban or Sabrina- I'll be okay with it. I'm not trying to fight against her for Hell. I just want to be at Caliban's side, and right now that's in Hell. And my life... I'm not sure what's going to happen yet exactly, but I'm not planning on just giving up everything to hide away in Hell for the rest of my life. I can tell you that."
Harvey shook his head at me but let out a defeated sigh. "I want you to be happy, [your name]. I see that's with Caliban now, I just wish it was different." He said almost sadly. " I- we all- will support you, no matter what, but don't ever think that if something goes wrong or if you just need someone to talk to about it all that I won't be there for you."
The bell rang above signaling the end of the school day, and everyone stood up around us in a flurry to leave. I stood as well and looked at Harvey. He was always the nicest one to me, he was always there for me. I smiled at him and gave him a tight hug.
"Thank you, Harvey. You really are my best friend. I love you." I whispered. He hugged me back tighter in response.
"I love you too, [your name]."

My mom wasn't home again. She and Caliban hadn't yet met because she's always so busy, but I had finally come clean about him two months ago. Nosey neighbors...
I opened my front door and turned to wave goodbye to Roz and Theo as they drove off. I left Lucky back inside and filled up his water bowl again before heading to my bedroom.
"Hey."
I dropped my phone in shock and screamed. "Sabrina! You scared me!"
How did she even get in my house? I haven't spoke to her in weeks and now she's breaking in to give me a heart attack. I glanced at the open window beside my bed and then back at her. She was sitting on my bed with a look on her face.
"[your name]! You know why I'm here." She almost sounded like she was scolding me, "Harvey told me. You're really going to go through with this? When is it even happening?"
I sighed. I should've guessed he would spill to Sabrina, but I was hoping I would get to her first. "Supposed to happen tonight. And yes, Rina, I am really going through with this because he is my soulmate."
She shook her head at me as I threw myself onto the bed with her. It felt a bit awkward after not speaking for so long, but she was still my lifelong friend. They can be at war with each other, but I don't want it to destroy my life in the process. I looked over at her, "Don't be mad at me, Rina. I love him and I love you too. You're so stubborn and so is he, but I want you both in my life. I just want to be a neutral party in this."
Sabrina gave me a slight smile and hugged me. "I know and I'm sorry. I've been an ass to you over this, I've let my hellish plans get in the way of this friendship and I never should have. I want to support you in being with him but when I take my crown back, I just ask that you support me too, don't let Caliban change your mind"
"The crown isn't worth losing this friendship. Caliban already knows I'm not going to fight with you over anything Hell related." I said.
She stood up, "Good! I gotta go, me and Nick are having a little movie night. I'll see you tomorrow at Roz's?" She said. I forgot about the meet up but nodded anyways.
Once she left, I looked at my phone to check the time. 5:29 PM. It was almost time for Caliban to come get me. He said that he would have a dress for me to wear and someone to help me fix my hair and makeup when we got to the castle. I grabbed a few items to bring with me like my charger and bag stuffed with some snacks. Just in case, you know? Hell didn't have the yummiest food.
I finished up my homework as I waited for the clock to hit 6:00 PM. My heart felt like it was beating faster and faster as the minutes ticked by. My stomach was in knots. This was basically like a marriage in the eyes of Hell. I was going to have a lot of responsibilities in Hell, yet I had to still find a way to be neutral about everything.
Knock. Knock.
I rushed down the stairs in a flurry to open the door. "Caliban!" I grinned and jumped up to give him a big hug. When I moved away, he looked absolutely beautiful when he stood in front of me in a dark blue suit with a bouquet of roses in his hands.
"My love," Caliban said and leaned in to give me a passionate kiss. "I got you flowers."
I thanked him and let him come inside. Lucky yapped in excitement when he seen Caliban and came running to our feet. My heart was in my throat now. It's time.
Caliban took my hand in his and looked me in the eyes. "Shall we?"
