Kirino's POV:
After the accident, we all went to the hospital, because even thought our teammates were mad at Shindou, they couldn't hold themselves for worrying about him.
We waited for 5 hours, thinking that the doctors were still checking him, but when we saw a nurse coming out of his room and we asked her, and she said that he was actually under a surgery. We were so worried, because the surgery took so long.
While we were waiting Masaki came to me...
"Can I talk to you?" He said seriously
We went outside in the hospital garden. Masaki looked very serious but also a little sad.
"What's wrong?" I asked curiously
"I was doing a little bit of a research about Shindou-Senpai, 'cause he looked a little suspicious me, and I figured out something..." He said and then he stopped and hesitated
"What is it?" I said curiously
"Shindou-Senpai's parents are very bad! They don't only force him to drink alcohol and do bad stuff."
"What else do they do?" I asked
"Do you remember when Shindou-Senpai said that his parents force him to drink and if he doesn't they will punish him?"
"Yes?"
"When they punish him, they don't punish him easily like banding him from doing and having something that he wants or likes. They hit him by a belt mercilessly as a punishment if he didn't do what they wanted with no little mistakes, and if he did something thy don't like! They are horrible!! " he said
"Then we have to find a way to save him from them before it's too lat-" I said as Masaki interrupted me before letting me finish what I wanted to say.
"No! Not yet!" He said
"Why not?"
"Because I am a little suspicious about his parents" he said mysteriously
"What? What do you mean Masaki?"
"I mean that I saw a picture in one of the drawers in Shindou-Senpai's parents' room, and it had a picture of them and Shindou-senpai I think when he was about 2 years old. But the thing is They looked a lot different from now. Not one of them, both of them. Both of them looked different. It also seemed like Shindou-Senpai was the most precious valuable thing to them, and both of them were holding his hands while he seemed like he was trying to walk. They looked so happy about him. So I am fearing that the man and the woman who are living with Shindou-Senpai as his parents are not actually his parents."
"Masaki"
"Yes?"
"You broke into his house and into his parents' room looking for things?"
"Yes, because as I told you I was very suspicious about them and I was worried that they might end up hurting him or killing him if they weren't his real parents"
"Masaki, when did you go?"
"Two days ago"
"Why didn't you tell me about that earlier?"
"I have been trying to tell you, but I haven't had the chance to"
"It's fine, but let's go together next time. But now let's go back and see if the doctors are out yet"
"Wait! R-Ran-" he said as I cut him off
"Say it Masaki! Say my name!" I said excitedly longing to hear my name from my brother's mouth and hear it from his own voice.
"Ra-Ranmaru- Neesan, tell me, do you like Shindou-Senpai?" he asked blushing
"W-WHAT?? MASAKI HOW DARE YOU SAY THIS ABOUT YOUR OLDER SISTER?????" I said trying to hide my red face
"Come on I know you do! You care about him so much and you love to spend your time with him and talk to him although he doesn't really speak that much" He said teasing me
"MASAKI!" I shouted blushing
Masaki was right though. I loved Shindou so much. He was always perfect, and I didn't care about how people didn't like him. Not counting Masaki as he is my brother, Shindou was the most charming and cute boy that I've ever met. The only thing that I actually wish. Is that I would be able to see Shindou smiling, even if for one second. I just wanted to see how the boy that I loved from the first time that I saw him would look like if he was smiling. I wish that if he ever actually smiled... He would smile to me first...
After me and Masaki went back inside, and saw that the other's were looking very depressed, even more than when Shindou had the accident.
"Wh-What's wrong?" I asked curiously
"The doctors came out when you guys were away..." Sangoku-san said
"And?" Masaki asked
"Th-They said that..." He said hesitating and looking at me sadly
"THEY SAID WHAT??" I shouted and my face is full of worries and curiosity to know what they doctors said.
"They... they said that he is in a very dangerous condition, and that they think he won't be living for long... they said he might die, because him "
"WHAT? WHAT DO YOU MEAN? ARE YOU MAKING FUN OF ME?" I shouted and started crying "No, there is no way this is real Shindou is okay, and I know you guys are just making fun of me!" I said lowering my voice but still crying and then I ran outside, trying to convince myself that what I just heard wasn't true.
"Nee san wait!" I heard Masaki's voice calling me as I ran out of the hospital.

If you don't understand what "Nee san" means, it's just a Japanese word for saying "older sister"
