Your parents loved you dearly, but they had to work very often and eventually had to sell both of their children, you to a brothel house and the other to become a swordsman because of financial distress.
You were born in the lower caste of the red light district of Yoshiwara, and you lived happily with your family even though you were poor. You made the most of your childhood with your family and you all cared for each other deeply. You didn't care if you were poor, in your mind, it wouldn't affect your family's relationship... or so you thought.
You were a bit confused when your parents told you that you were being sold off to a brothel house. Despite being eleven at the time, you were innocent and didn't know what that was or what was going to happen to you there.
You had an older brother growing up, he was about two years older than you. He was strong, kind, talented, and reliable. When something bad happened to you, you were always comforted by your older brother.
Your older brother was very physically talented, and it seemed he had the capability to become and potential of a swordsman, because he was scouted by a high ranking swordsman that was on a mission in the area.
You remember many of his comforting words and his brotherly affection, especially just before you were about to split up and he was about to be taken away by his new, full-time swordsmanship master.
Your brother had been studying under him before, but your parents decided to give him away full time to his master, so he could become a legendary swordsman just like his master was.
