"I want a divorce."

The king felt as if his whole world stopped hearing those 4 words. The boy he loved was asking him for a divorce after their 1 year of marriage together. But.. why?

"What?! Why?! Aren't you happy here with me?" He asked him desperately clinging to his hand, begging him to reconsider. Louis only looked at him, his eyes filled with tears, he jerked his hand away from Arthur. The force causing him to be shoved pathetically unto the floor.

"You're a king, and I am a rice farmer. You're a guy and I'm also a guy. Can't you see? This wrong! You're supposed to find a wife to bring a heir to this kingdom! And I can't..." Louis breaks into sobs.

He loves Arthur, more than anything else in the world, more than his rice fields. But, it would be selfish to think of his own happiness than the future of this kingdom. He may be poor, but just like any other citizen here, he loves his home.

Arthur reaches out his hand to Louis and weakly clings to his hand. "I don't care if you can't give me a child. All I need is you.. Please love... Don't leave me.." For a moment they gazed at each other's eyes. Both were savoring this last moment... Where they had their hands interlocking together. But Louis knew this couldn't last long.

Shaking, he slowly let's go but when Arthur refused to, he pulls his hand in the process helping Arthur up on his feet. In a blink of an eye, the king had wrapped his arms around him. He sobbed on his lover's shoulder.

"I'm sorry.. I love you..."

Louis pushes him back and runs towards the palace gates. Leaving behind a heartbroken king. He tried to chase him but was stopped by the palace guards. They blocked the exits holding sharp spears pointed towards his majesty.

"What is the meaning of this!? Let me through! I have to get to him... Please..."

Footsteps could be heard descending down the flight of steps, it was the former king Richmond. "Looks like I got through your beloved rice farmer's head. He was too stubborn to listen to me before.. but now his uneducated brain had listened." He gave a sigh of relief.

Arthur, enraged, faced his father. "You did this, Father!? He is my happiness! He is my husband!"

"Exactly! Doesn't that sound disgusting that you, the King, a male, has a husband? You are the ruler of Yuchengco and therefore you must set an example to all your people. What kind of example is being married to a boy!? Not to mention one of no nobility!"

Arthur remained silent. He knew what his father was about to say next. He hated it.

"Now prepare yourself my son. Tonight, I arranged a ball for you to find a wife." King Richmond then left along with 2 guards that accompany him everywhere. Arthur could only stare at the floor with one thought in mind.

"You will pay for this father.. in a more painful way than heartbreak."
