England sprinted into the hall like bitten by a tarantula . Russia and Japan were gone. He hurried further.

"Canada?!"

The blond man was sitting up in his bed. Japan and Russia stood with him.

"Are you okay?" asked the Englishman, breathing heavily.

Russia nodded. "More or less. Seems like little Canada have had a nightmare?"

The Canadian shock like a leaf, staring into space. He winced as England sat down with him and put an arm around his shoulders.

"What happened, little one?"

Canada seemed like he is now really awake and notices the environment. "E-England...! W-what is it ..." He shook his head strongly. "I-it's okay. I just had a nightmare...! "

England hugged the still trembling Canadian. "Want to tell me about it?"

Canada shook his head slowly. "N-no, I don't really knoe what happened actually..."

Russia took a water bottle from the depths of his coat pocket. "There, small Canada. I have something here that will help you. "

Without waiting for an answer, the Russians reached for Canada's face and poured him a good drink in the throat. Coughing, the Canadian moved back.

"Russia, stop! Vodka won't help him at all!" complained England. Russia smiled. "It will help, da~"

England sent the two out, to speak alone with Canada. However, Japan remained in the open doorway and cast an eye on them.
A little while England hugged Canada like he had done when Canada was still small.

"Will you tell me about the dream now?" He asked softly.

"There was a voice ..." whispered Canada." And they told me such terrible things. They scared me ... They repeatedly told these things ... "

"What things, Canada?"

Canada began to tremble and snuggled closer to the Brit. Small tears rolling silently down his face.
England held the Canadian silently in his arms and swung slow back and forth. He had no idea what Russia had mixed in the vodka and he probably didn't want to know, but the stuff seemed to work.
Slowly but surely, Canada fell asleep again. England put him back to bed and covered him. Silently, he looked at the calm face of his foster son.

"England?"

"I'm coming ..."

Silently left England the room.

"Sleep well, Canada ..."

At first, everything was dark. Canada nestled in the darkness. It was pleasantly warm around him. He was so tired that he just wanted to sleep.

Sleep.

Sleep...

...

"Canada ..."

The Canadian startled. "What is? Is it you again?!"

He could feel the demonic grin. "Yes ... and I will never disappear..."

"W-who are you?!"

"I'm Canada. Don't you remember? I hate it when you don't remember me!"

A pain exploded on Canada's back. The energy beam seemed to have come out of nowhere. Confused, he looked around in the dark.

"Where are you?"

"Right here.", It sounded beyond Canada. He spun around, but there was nothing. Nothing but all-consuming blackness.

"I can't see you.." Canada said quietly.

"You want to see me? This is new to me. Otherwise, you have only heard my voice. But fine, if you want to see me.. "

A shadow detached itself from the darkness and stopped in front of the Canadian.
This gasped.

"You're.."

The person in front of him was as tall as he was, wearing the same clothes. The hair was darker and longer than its own and tied at the back into a loose ponytail. From red glowing eyes stared Canada with a grin.

"I am you!"

Canada grabbed the face of his opponent to be convinced that his eyes were playing him a trick.

"H-hey! Take your hand away!" Swore the shadows and beat Canada's hand away.

"You really are..."

"Of course I am!"

"You are me?"

His shadowy counterpart nodded. "We're a person and yet so different." He grinned again and he wasn't less scary than Russia.

"W-what do you want ...?" Canada asked suddenly insecure.

"I want you to remember me back! I hate it to be overlooked! You and me. We make it as before! "

"What? I-I don't know what happened! I have lost my memory. "

The Shadow grinned.
"No problem, my first half. You will find it again. "

A cruel laughter followed, then the second Canadian disappeared in the dark. Canada fell into a restless sleep.
