My parents divorced when I was thirteen. My mom left me with my dad and moved to Montana. She used to be a surgeon but now she owns a ranch with her husband Marcus Kane. I would always go up to visit my mom each summer but I haven't in three years. I'm eighteen now.
My father died in a car crash 3 weeks ago. I was in the passenger seat. The car flipped over a bridge. It was a miracle that I somehow got out. I still have the nightmares. I know am packing up everything I own and taking it with me to Montana. My new home.
It wasn't that I didn't like Montana It's just I don't like Kane. He changed my mother. She loved being a surgeon but she quit and bought a ranch with Kane. They are extremely wealthy people now too. They had workers on the farm, mostly close to my age. They were my best friends. They stayed at the farm and worked there daily. She probably knew them better than me.
I loved Montana. It was so beautiful. I especially loved the horses.
I still love my mom but I could never connect with her after she left. I was still angry at her for leaving. I had three more hours left of driving until I reached my new life.
