Chapter 12

A/n: A thousand sorry-s from my side. Pls forgive me. I had continuous physical classes and examinations so I couldn't open my Wattpad. But I promise the story will be good from now. Mostly I'll be posting weekly but I don't know when I can open my laptop. Once these exams are over, I will fully dedicate myself to the stories. Pls adjust till that. Once again, I'm so sorry. Author's POV

You sat beside your plants and stared at the half moon. It glowed faintly because the clouds covered it. The clouds moved slowly and you expected it to cross away soon. But it moved too slow. You sighed and used your powers to push the clouds away. The moon was clearly visible now.

"My mother used scold me whenever I do that." You heard a voice and you turned around to see Loki sitting on the other end of the terrace, staring at the moon.

"Why?"

"She says its wrong to defy the nature's rules." You smiled lightly.

"But aren't we all defying nature some way or the other?"

"I guess you're right." He chuckled. You patted the place next to you and motioned him to sit there. He came and sat there.

"Do you want to talk about it?" You asked softly and he nodded. Eyes still fixed on the sky, he started telling about his experience with Thanos.

"At first when I met him, he treated me like some lowly animal. Like I was made to be under him and do whatever he tells. I refused to do what he said. And as a reward, I got hits from whips. It wasn't painful at the starting. But as he hit the same place again and again, the pain grew and grew until it became unbearable. I was forced to do what he said. As the master of illusions, I created illusions all around me and was able to escape for some time. But soon he figured it out. He came to a conclusion that I could not be taken under control. So he used threats. He threatened to destroy Asgard, he threatened to destroy the nine realms. I did not budge for that. But when he threatened to kill my mother, it hit the spot. I had to comply. He used the stone on me and I was forced to do the things. The rest is history." He said and forced out a smile.

"I honestly don't know what to say Loki. You've been through a lot." You said and patted his shoulders.

"You have something in your mind too right?" He asked and you nodded.

"You can tell me if you want. Maybe I can help." He said and you sighed.

"I don't know Loki, My entire life was fine... except the last year. I met a man, fell in love, enjoyed my days with him..... only for him to leave me suddenly." You took a big sip from the Vodka in your hand and gulped it.

"Vodka?" You asked and he shook his head.

"I don't drink."

"Excuse me....What?" You asked.

"I don't drink......"

Not when you're with beautiful women.

'Shut up emerald.'

You couldn't believe what he said.

"I CANT BELIEVE YOU'RE THOR'S BROTHER! YOU DON'T DRINK????"

"Hey...." Loki sounded offended.

"No. You drink this. Now!" You took his hand and placed the bottle on it.

"Hana....."

"Vodka is the best on earth. You better drink." Loki chuckled before finally taking a sip.

"Wow. It really does taste good."

"Told you right? German Vodka. From my home." You said proudly.

"Home?"

"I'm German. At least half German. I grew up there. Till I died, I was in Germany. Actually I'm from Sokovia."

"Died?" He asked surprised. Usually he's the one to use that term.

"Long story short, I made crimes. Big ones, along with Hitler. So SSR killed me.....Only for the HYDRA to bring me back to life again with the sceptre."

"Similar back stories.." Loki chuckled.

"You're not wrong." You laughed.

"About the crimes, killed people?" He asked.

"Lot."

"Maybe a hundred? Two hundred?"

"Nah man millions."

"Not bad." He joked.

"You?"

"A bit more than yours but..."

"Come on! Tell it!"

"An entire planet." You gasped.

"Okay. That's too much!"

"It was fun actually. I quite enjoyed it."

You couldn't believe you were competing on how much people you've killed but it was nice to have someone to talk to. Especially the God of Mischief.

Loki took another sip from the drink and handed it to you.

"I've had enough. If I drink more, I'll probably get drunk." He stood up. He gave a hand for you. You took it and got up.

"You're no fun." You pouted and he chuckled.

"I'm the God of Mischief darling, you get to see more fun than you have ever experienced."

"We'll see about that." You challenged. He raised an eyebrow at you and scoffed.

"Oh sure darling, you'll see a lot. See you in the morning." He said and smiled before teleporting to his room.

"Good night!" You called back but he was already gone. You sighed and hit your head about how stupid you were before him.
