Chapter 5- First Meet, Mate.

Kria's POV

Three weeks later......

I was rushing upstairs while speaking with the Wedding Planner and to meet the soon-to-be bride/best friend who called me to meet her as there was an emergency. When I reached her room and knocked at her door, I heard her say come in. When I went in and saw her bedroom, I felt dizzy. "What happened here, Ahana? Did the hurricane decide to visit your room? What's with the mess huh?" I asked her.

She looked like she was about to cry and I asked "Hey what's wrong? What happened? Why do you look like you are about to cry?''
"Kria, I forgot to bring my jewels and Lehenga for Mehendi tomorrow. I kept it in my closet back in my home while speaking to Manik. Mom warned me many times to pack it and not to forget anything but I forgot to bring it and if she gets to know, she's going to explode. You know her right?" She was now a sobbing mess. I smiled at her stupidity and said "you could have asked Nat or Aadya to get it. Stop crying now, your eyes will be swollen and you'll look like a Panda tomorrow".

"I told Aadya but she's in the airport to welcome the guests and take them to the hotel rooms for their stay and you know how irresponsible Nat is. I asked her to get it but she said she will go with her stupid boyfriend Likith. I don't want him to steal anything from my home and give him a chance to seduce her. We never let them be alone because he only wants to get into her pants and I'd rather wear a potato sack than give him a chance. So I told Manik about this and he suggested that you are the best person to help me. Please darling, would you go to my home and get the jewels and my dress?" she was blabbering while sniffing. She's a very sensitive person.

"You know I would go but Ahana, I don't know how to drive and you know mom won't send me alone at night. Your place is very far too" I tried to reason with her. "Manik's Alp, I mean best friend is here and he's willing to drive you to my place and get the jewels. Please sneak out somehow without my mom noticing and get the jewels. Please, pretty please" She said with her irresistible puppy dog eyes. I finally gave in and told her, "Urghhhh!! You owe me a big time and I'm going to ask my mom's permission before I go though" and I left to ask my mom.

Mom was in the kitchen preparing welcome drinks to the guests with Nat's mom and Aadya's mom. Nat was sitting and stuffing her face while doing something on her phone. I signalled her to distract her mom and Aadya's mom so that I can speak to my mom about the situation. She made up an excuse and took them outside.

"Mom, Ahana forgot her jewels and her Lehenga in her home and aunty doesn't know about it. So may I go and get it for her?" Mom looked at me and said, "but sweety, you don't know how to drive and I'm not going to send you with your two wheeler at this hour. This place is in the outskirts"
I told her, "Momma, Manik's best friend agreed to drive me, it seems. I'll go and be back before dinner. Please mom, you know how Ahana's mom is."

Suddenly Nat jumped between me and my mom out of nowhere and told, "don't worry Hottie, I'll go with her". Yeah, she calls the ladies hotties, sexy and other names. After giving a slap on her head, my mom gave us permission to go.

I called Manik and he told me that his friend is already waiting for me outside. So Nat and I head outside to meet his "best friend" whose name I didn't know yet. Nat got a call from her toy friend, oops sorry I mean boyfriend and she gave me a sheepish smile as if asking my permission to meet him. I gave in and told her to meet him in the public place and informed Manik to look after her. She hugged me and went to meet that butthole.

Sighing, I went to the veranda and a cold breeze greeted me. I glanced outside and there stood the sexiest man I've ever seen. Leaning against the Audi car, glancing at his watch impatiently. When I stepped outside the house, as if sensing my presence, he suddenly turned towards me and stared at me for a few seconds which felt like hours. His silver eyes were staring at my dark Brown ones. I started to feel uncomfortable and looked away and cleared my throat.

"Hello, my name is Kria, pleased to meet you." I held my hand to greet him but his intense gaze never left mine and he said "Mate". His voice was mesmerising and I stood there confused. He cleared his throat as if coming back from a trance.

"Hello, I'm Adrian and I'm very glad that I met you," he said in a husky voice and kissed the back of my hand. As soon as he held my hand I felt a shock run through my body. I shivered at the kiss and besides the cold breeze and my dress was not helping me. He opened the passenger door like a gentleman. I blushed and stepped inside whispering a thank you.
'Are you kidding? You never blush. What's wrong with you? Now he's going to think that you're another Indian girl who'd swoon at American men' my inner voice was screaming at me, whom I ignored when Adrian sat in the driver's seat and started to drive.

After a few minutes of awkward silence he asked, "So your name is Kria? Manik said Pataka will come with me. Is she coming directly to Ahana's home?" My eyes widened and I started blushing furiously and murmured 'I'm gonna kill him'. I calmed myself and replied, "Well my name is Kria and Manik calls me Pataka. It's kind of a nickname he gave me", and turned to look outside the window, to hide my face. I heard his voice say "meaning?" 'Urghh! He asks too many questions' I whispered to myself and I just replied, "it's a stupid name and he's an idiot". He smiled at me and I started to give directions to Ahana's home for the whole ride to avoid his questions.

We reached Ahana's home and I picked her jewels and dress. We drove back to Manik's farm house. When we reached there I said good night to Adrian and stepped outside of his car. While going inside I heard him say "MINE" and I shivered. I turned to ask him what he said to make sure I heard clearly but he was not there. Weird. I went inside still confused by his strange behaviour.

Finally they met. So what's going to happen next? I was planning to upload an author's note for the cast. I will try to upload it ASAP. For now, I'm going to announce the main characters cast.
Adrian is Ian Somerhalder and Kria is Nina Dobrev. I know she's not an Indian but it's a story so chalega😅.
