Why does my heart flutter?

"What does it means when your
heart skips a beat or you feel flustered?"

Dahyun was shaken by what I asked her but kept her straight face.

"Why are you suddenly asking about it? Did something happen?"

"Dahyun you know you're my
best friend and the only one whom I
can tell anything right?"

Dahyun seemed pleased at my
statement and just nodded.

"Actually during that dance it
happened."

"I knew something was fishy, if you don't mind me asking what actually happened?"

"Ok wait I'll tell you but
somewhere else there are just too
many people here."

"Ok! Now let's go and eat."

The both went towards the cafetaria but there was something they didn't know about. Actually someone
listened to our conversation and
misunderstood it.

*SUHO POV AT CAFETARIA*

I was just chilling with my friends in
cafetaria when Kai came running in.

"Bro what happened? Why
are you running?" Chanyeol shouted

Kai took a breath and then asked me an unexpected question.

"Suho did you by any chance ask
Y/N to be your partner today?" Kai reaching out to put his arm around my shoulder

As he asked me I blushed and shyly
nodded. Actually I have a crush on her since the first day of high school.
She's just the girl I like. She's beautiful, she's caring, she's simple, she's clumsy, she's cute, but she's just herself and but pretending to be someone else.

"Ya! I asked her to be my partner which she agreed but then that Irene had swap her partners with Y/N. But why do you ask about it?"

"I think I may have a good news
for you! Your long one sided love, your unrequited love could be now replied to. I just heard Y/N talking to Daehyun saying that something happened in the dance that made her heart skip a beat. And I'm pretty sure it happened because Suho asked her as his partner."

Suho was so happy to hear all this.

"So what should I do now?"

"Try to impress her. If you can
make her heart skip a beat it won't take long to make her fall for you. Then you can live with her happily ever after."

Everyone laughed at that statement
and Suho from within felt a ray of hope that Y/N and he may be together. But what he didn't know was that it was all false hope.

*AFTER SCHOOL Y/N POV AT A CAFE*

"So tell me what happened
that made your heart skip a beat?"

"Seonghwa asked me to be his
friend and gave me his phone number."

Daehyun was drinking her iced latte
while I was saying those, after I said
that she choked on her drink real hard. Almost knocking herself out.

"Seonghwa and in ATEEZ's Seonghwa. Oh My God. He gave you his phone number and asked you to be his friend. Wow." Almost shouting I put my hand over her mouth.

"Yeah so I told you what
happened now tell me why did my heart skip a beat?"

"Y/N Y/N Y/N poor Y/N. I
don't know if you're stupid or just
clueless about these stuff. But I'll tell
your heart skipped a beat because that guy touched your heart."

"What do you mean by that?"

"It means that guy is already someone special to you Y/N."

"Are you saying I've fallen in love with him?"

"You can say that but if you're not sure about it meet him a few times then your heart will be sure what it wants."

I took her advice and went home.

*AT NIGHT IN MY ROOM*

I was puzzled if I should do as Daehyun said or not. After a while of debating with myself I agreed on doing it.

I sent a simple message.
Y/N:
Hi
Seonghwa:
Hey Y/N! How are you?
Y/N:
How did you know it was me?
Seonghwa:
I don't just give my phone number to anyone
Y/N:
Oh! I'll accept to be your friend
but only after we get to know each
other.
Seonghwa:
I said that you can try be my friend for some time and if you like it keep it and if you don't then throw it away.
Y/N:
I'll see on that.
Seonghwa:
Are you free tomorrow
evening after 8.
Y/N:
I don't have anything
planned. Why?
Seonghwa:
Then let's go out the both of us. Friend bonding time
Y/N:
Ok but where do I have to meet
you?
Seonghwa:
I'll pick you up.
Y/N:
No don't.
Just tell me where we have to meet I'll be there at the time.
Seonghwa:
Then meet me near your school at 8 tomorrow night. Ok?
Y/N:
Ok but why at school?
Seonghwa:
You'll see tomorrow.
For now it's really late you have school tomorrow and I have schedule tomorrow so let's go to sleep.

Seonghwa:
Be sure to dress nicely.
But even if you don't you'll still look
beautiful.

That made my heart flutter a lot. I
don't know why but yes I just couldn't
believe myself.

Seonghwa:
Y/N be ready at 7:30 ok. Now go to sleep good night.

Thankfully i come home early before 6 I'll have time to get ready. Oh My God somethings totally wrong with me. A girl who never got ready for her middle school graduation or high school orientation is gonna be getting ready to meet a boy.
