Emlyn is the leader of the DeFiance, the (all female) warriors and protectors of Polaris. Emlyn identifies as lesbian, and classes male entities as "unnecessary." Emlyn lives in the purple castle of The Capitol.

Khaleesi is owned by Emlyn and so governs Polaris by her side. She loves anything knitted. Khaleesi cannot speak after sundown. She is also the only known entity in Polaris who can speak to the monsters, which she uses to liaise with them, though the nature of this skill is unknown.
