Chapter Eleven

Dipper
"Soos?" I asked, the golf cart headlights went on and then jumped out a terrifying Soos. He was sweating and was shivering and shaking a little bit.
Artemis just sat there.
You can do the talking, I heard her voice in my head say. I nodded and then ran to give Soos a hug.
"Dude, something really bad is going on..wait a minute are you really you?" Soos questioned me.
"Ya Soos I'm really me." I said.
"Okay dude, if you really are you then what is my favorite food-"
"Pizza with every meat on it, Soos we also explode hot dogs in the microwave." I exclaimed.
"okay it's really you, besides you don't have the yellow eyes." Soos said.
"Soos what are you doing here." I said, and Soos looked at me for a split second.
"dude, caramel and Mabel were taken by the police. The only thing she left for me was the journal." Soos said.
And he pulled the journal out from his backpack. I snatched it and looked at it, it was missing any pages or anything.
"thank god Caramel was able to give it to you." I whispered. And then Soos looked sad.
"But they peppered sprayed her eyes and then blindfolded Manel and the rest but cause I ran for it and shoved them into a police car..." Soos explained. And he had only one tear run down his cheek, but he wiped it away and just said.
"I'm So Sorry dude I should had been a man and tried to rescue them but I was a chicken and ran off-"
"Soos if it wasn't for you. The polic would probably have the journal and that wouldn't be good at all! And your giving it to us so we can-"
"Wait a minute who's that dude." Soos asked, pointing at Artemis. She looked down at the ground and just sighed.
Man I wished he didn't see me, I heard her voice say. I looked at her and then said in my head.
trust me, Soos is a really good person, he's seen every strange creature in Gravity falls, besides if you show him your powers, he'll probably think your awesome.
I looked at her and she sighed but nodded her head before saying.
"I'm Artemis, Artemis Gleeful."
"Wait how are you a Gleeful?" Soos asked.
"I was adopted when I was 5 years old, but then Gideon was born, that's when I learned I had a curse but also a power among me." Artemis explained.
"Like what?"
"I'm a Mind Scaper, someone who can go and read people's minds and even sometimes if I'm powerful enough, control them. But I have a curse where I can't touch anything cause they will dissolve into millions of pieces. the only way I can't touch something is by wearing these gloves." Artemis explained, but then she took one off and touch a flower, which dissolved into millions of pieces.
Soos gasped with amazement and was saying to her.
"Dude you are awesome, your like a girl from my recent video game I was playing!"
And for the first time, I could see Artemis smile. A big smile. But she put her glove back on and then gasped.
"Oh and thank goodness it's dark out."
"Why?" I asked, and she smiled, she took her glove off again and then looked up at the sky, so many stars were out ( by the way they are like in appendix field in the woods)
And then she started to draw something with her finger at the sky. Wait a minute I can see a line drawing, what this is really cool. And then she did this for about five minutes and when I saw the final picture. It showed a bow and arrow.
"now look down." Artemis said. And I looked at her and gasped with excitement. The bow and arrow was in her hands. The bow was gold and silver . And the arrows were in a pouch and she was wearing in around her shoulder.
"How...."Soos whispers.
"This is a gift a Mind Scaper has, I can even bring pop." Artemis said.
"Okay dudes you have to show me this, I need a Pepsi." Soos says. And seconds later after she made three Pepsi In the sky, we were siting there laughing and actually having a good time.
"Okay dude but really, we need to help Caramel and Mabel." Soos said, and we nodded, Artemis dissolves the empty cans and then we all rushed to the cart.
Soos turned it on and we were flying out of there. But while we were riding through the woods. The voices were slowly starting to come back in my mind. And I was covering my ears.
Artemis looked at me for a split second but then stopped, but the. The idea popped into my mind.
Is Artemis making me hear all theses voices?
I looked at her again but she just looked forward. I started to have a weird gut feeling like, Maybe I shouldn't really trust her. But at the same time, what has she really done? But still.....Trust is getting hard to come by now.
So the only thing I think about is Caramel, how she must be siting there in a cold cell, crying and terrified. I was starting to cry silently about it, but I turned away so they wouldn't see and was wiping them away.

And I looked at Artemis and then just said in my mind.
