Center Stage

Dipper's P.O.V.

I flinched away from Lazy Susan when she reached for my arm again. I began to drop my act and calm down, making it slow to seem more real. Lazy Susan reached for me again and I cowered more into the corner I was in, silent tears rolling down my cheeks. She immediately retreated and just sat in front of me as I calmed down. "Dipper are you alright now?" She asked as she reached for my arm again. When I saw that Grunkle Stan had been dragged away I let Lazy Susan lead me to her diner. She set me up in a booth close to the back as she sat down opposite me. "Dipper do you mind telling me what happened." Lazy Susan questioned as she looked towards me from across the table.

I broke into tears again frantically shaking my head no. "Dipper its ok you can tell me. No-one but us is here so you wont get hurt." I looked at her with puppy eyes and questioned in a weak voice, "Really?" When she nodded her head yes I began to explain. "I woke up late so I couldn't do all the chores so when Grunkle Stan woke up he got angry at me. He said that I was rebelling and that he wouldn't go as easy as he had in the past. The look in his eyes scared me so I ran. I didn't think he would chase me, but I turned around and he was running at me like a psycho. I was so so scared. I just wanted someone to help me so I ran here. That's when you guys found me." I pulled my legs to my chest and curled into myself, hiding my face to cover the smirk that covered my face when I saw the tears in her eyes. " How long have they been treating you like this dear?" Lazy Susan questioned in a soft voice.

"Since I moved here." With that all hell broke loose. Lazy Susan ran outside into the crowds screaming about how they were all monsters. I looked out the window next to me and saw as looks of horror dawned the faces of all the townsfolk. At this point Lazy Susan should have told all of the townsfolk about his poor treatment at the shack. They all looked towards the window I was seated at with looks of absolute disappointment. They all dispersed as Lazy Susan returned with the deputy and the sheriff behind her. They asked me to tell them all about my home life so I explained tot them all about my torturous life. They walked out of the diner and straight to the police station. I stayed at the diner until lunch time came and I was called to the police station. I was let into a room that held both my Grunkles and my sister Mabel.

Mabel lost it when she saw me enter the room with the deputies. "YOU." she screamed at me as I sat opposite them. "What did you do? Why are we here?!!" She screamed at me as the deputy and the sheriff sat on either side of me. I pulled my knees to my chest and placed a blank look on my face." The sheriff spoke first. "Stanford and Stanley Pines, you two are under arrest for abuse of a minor, and neglectful behavior towards tour nephew. Mabel Pines you are sentenced to 800 hours of community service and mandatory psychological evaluations, issued by the court. All three pines broke out into screams of protest." What the hell for?" Asked Grunkle Ford. "We know how you have treated Dipper here since he arrived." Stated the deputy, pointing towards Dipper.Dipper stood from his seat as the pines were escorted out of the room by some officers.

With that Dipper returned to the shack, his plan already proving to be more successful than he imagined.
