Doug looked in the mirror, straightening his white bandana.
"Today's the day!" He thought, grabbing his dagger and leaving his dorm. Doug rushed past other Soldiers, making his way to the Commander's Office.
Doug entered the Commander's Office, to the surprise of the Commander.
"Sorry I'm late Commander," He said quickly, glancing at the other two. They were both Paladins. The first Paladin, a tall demon, stepped towards the Commander's desk, his long blue cloak dragging across the floor.
"Commander." He frowned, gesturing to Doug. "Is he our assigned partner?" When the Commander nodded, the Paladin's frown merely deepened.
"He's a Soldier," He continued. "He wouldn't survive a Boss Level Bandit!" The Commander nodded, glancing at the other Paladin, a woman with sliver hair. She glanced at the other Paladin.
"Don't worry Commander." She replied with a grin. "We'll take this Soldier under our wing. Show him the ropes." She grinned at Doug. "Come on Rookie!" She left the office, her red cloak billowing behind her. The other Paladin followed her, glaring at Doug as he ran to keep up with the two.
