Chapter 8

"Daddy why do I have to sleep first?", Soobin whined, Jin was tucking him in his bed well air bed (it's those beds that you can inflate)

"Well honey, you have to sleep first for you to grow. Didn't you say that you would grow big and tall to protect Tae's baby?", Jin asked him.

Soobin pouted, "Ok, I'll go to sleep now."

Jin smiled, he pecked his son's forehead telling him goodnight.

Soobin looked around the room, he saw how his dad closed the door.

He wasn't tired yet, Soobin looked up at the ceiling to see something hanging there.

"Hey, why are you dangling there?"

"How did it go?", Taehyung asked Jin after he put Soobin to sleep.

"It went fine, but something is missing.", Jin tapped his chin thinking.

"What's missing?", Taehyung asked him, settling himself down on the sofa.

Jin snapped his fingers, "It's Soobin's bunny, I forgot to give it to him. Maybe that's why he can't sleep. Ugh, and he didn't ask for his bunny. Hold on Tae, let me go give him his bunny.", Jin said, unzipping Soobin's backpack that he left on the sofa. He pulled out the bunny and went back to the room.

Jin slowly opened the door not wanting to wake up Soobin if he was sleeping already.

And to his surprise he was.

Jin puts the bunny next to him if he wants to hug him.

He turned back and was about to leave when he felt a tingling on his back. As if something was telling him to turn and look in the direction his eyes would look.

Jin quickly turned his head to see nothing. He sighed, Jin left the room without seeing the little boy dangling on the ceiling.

"New people to play with".

"So, you wouldn't tell me?", Taehyung asked Jungkook.

After they catched up on things it was time for them to go to bed. Taehyung was lying on their bed waiting for Jungkook who was buttoning his pajama shirt.

"It was a surprise...well a terrible surprise but hey you won't be alone in the house since Jin will be here and Soobin since he's homeschooled.", Jungkook explained.

"It was a nice surprise but we could've got them a more comfortable place to sleep.", Taehyung whined.

"Their things will come tomorrow and we will organize their rooms for now let's rest.", Jungkook said, laying next to Taehyung ready to scoop him.

Taehyung shook his head, he turned off the light of the lamp. That was the cue for Jungkook to scoop Taehyung.

"Now let's sleep because tomorrow we're going to have a heck of a busy day.", Jungkook said.

Taehyung nodded, he was facing the wall. He kept staring at it until he felt his eyes going droopy.

In their room, on top of their bed was a window covered with curtains. Slowly a shadow appeared, gripping on the side with it's long sharp fingers. You could see its eyes staring down at the couple.

Its huge mouth widened in a smile, showing its black teeth that had stuff hanging on it. And with that hanging stuff...was...the cat's eyeball.

It kept looking at Taehyung's stomach, yearning to rip its stomach open and eat whatever was in there.

The thing hissed when he saw the light
approached the couple and tapped on Taehyung's feet.

"YoU...I ShOuLd'Ve rIpped You In PIECES WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE!"

The light looked at the thing, "I won't let you hurt my family again. So please, leave them alone...all of them and go somewhere else".

The thing laughed and crawled away.

"I WiLl cOme BaCk foR mY fOod! And I wIlL KiLl yOu ThIs tImE!"

The light trembled, how long can he protect his new family?

"Please, notice me...notice my warnings", the light begged, seeing how the couple moved closer together.

The light knew he had to do something...

"I thought they would come for another day.", Jin said, putting down the box he was carrying.

The movers came the next day as expected.

"That's what happened to us when we moved first. I thought they would come in like two days.", Taehyung said, putting down a box next to Jin.

"I hope we're not going to bother you guys.", Jin told him.

"Don't worry Jin, I'm glad you guys could move in with us that way I won't be alone in this big house."

Taehyung smiled, he saw Jungkook walking along the road searching for something.

He came back with a can of tuna in his hands.

"What are you doing, Jungkook?", Jin asked him.

"It's that I saw a cat yesterday when I was cleaning the garden and thought about giving it some tuna but it looks like the cat isn't here."

"It probably went to its owner or probably went somewhere. You know how stray cats are.", Jin explained, going back to help.

"Oh well, looks like I have to put this up and Taehyung don't pick up heavy stuff.", Jungkook said before leaving.

Taehyung nodded, but someone was missing and that was Soobin. Namjoon was trying to help but Jin was telling him to pick up things that are not breakable.

Taehyung went upstairs, he went to the room that was now Soobin's, next to their baby's room.

He was about to knock only to hear Soobin giggling and talking to someone...

"Your smile is like a heart shape. You have pretty eyes too.", Soobin said.

For some reason that made Taehyung feel uneasy.

He knocked on the door letting Soobin know he was coming in. Taehyung entered to see Soobin sitting on the floor with blankets surrounding him with his bunny.

"Soobin, who were you talking to?", Taehyung asked, sitting next to him.

Soobin smiled, "My new friend, his name is Hobi."
