Kanao rested against a tree, panting heavily. They had just run from the room they locked themselves into a room down the hallway, and then from there they had ran to the place where Kanao was going to take Nezuko. They ran extra fast, not wanting to be caught in that fight that Inosuke and Zenitsu were having in the hallway. Plus, Kanao wanted to show Nezuko this spot as a reward for being so kind and caring to her. Normally, Kanao would not be nice to a demon, but her feelings for her had changed a little bit, so she decided she would make an exception just this once.
Plus, she wanted to see Nezuko smile, which she supposed would be really cute. It would brighten her day. "Mmf! Mmhm!" Nezuko brushed some dirt off of her pink kimono, letting it fall to the ground and creating dust in the air.
Demons didn't get tired, so she shouldn't be sweating, but still, she looked pretty tired and pretty shaken up. Her eyes were wide, and Kanao swore she could see her body quivering ever so slightly. She wanted to reach out, to comfort her, to pet her but knew that she couldn't do such a thing without flipping her coin. However, Nezuko already seemed to decide for her and hugged her around the knees again. Nezuko was in her short form, so she could only reach about up to Kanao's calf.
It was quite handy, as it could help her avoid the sunlight a lot more and blend in with her surroundings should there be any danger. Not that there was going to be any in the forest, but one must always be prepared. Kanao sighed, taking in her surroundings. It had been over a month since the last time she had been here, and Kanao instantly regretted not coming here more often. Despite these woods not getting much sunlight, perfect for a demon, such as Nezuko, and being very dark, there was still life nonetheless.
Owls hooted to each other in the trees, their voices soft and calming. Flowers bloomed in the grass, sticking close to the trees and mushrooms. Squirrels chattered at each other up in the trees. An occasional deer or two gnawed at some grass, not having a care in the world. It was all beautiful, so breathtaking, so gorgeous, that it felt like. . . home.
If only that man was here with her. . .

Victoria sighed, finally taking notice that Enmu was not staring at her, but instead at the door to her mother's room. Enmu got so easily distracted by such little things, and she honestly didn't get it. She was the star, ready to shine, ready to show Enmu things that he couldn't experience otherwise, and he was ignoring her!? She was the princess of the demons. Everyone respected her, and everyone did whatever she wished.
Everyone acknowledged her, and, despite being young, everyone treated her like an adult. She wasn't used to being ignored, and she did not like it. She glanced around at her father's throne, but he had no idea what was going on, as he was reading a newspaper. "Enmu-San! Enmu-San! Enmu-San!" Victoria called out Enmu's name loudly, praying that Enmu would eventually hear her name and finally notice that she was there.
But, Enmu was still staring at the door, as if there was a ghost standing right in front of him. Victoria just didn't understand. Why was he so fascinated with the door? He was eighteen years old, at least physically, and had seen doors before in both his human life and his demon life. The doors were nothing special, especially the doors to her mother's room.
So why was he staring at it, so intimately fascinated with it? Suddenly, Victoria heard it-her mother calling someone's name, damning it over and over again. "DAMN KANAO! DAMN HER! DAMN HER!" Her mother kept on yelling.
What the hell? What was wrong with her mother? Victoria turned towards the door in shock, her eyebrows raised and her mouth dropped to a small "O." She turned towards Enmu, hoping that she would notice her gaze, but he just stayed frozen to the spot, his eyes widened. Muzan was casually scanning through the newspaper, searching for something, anything.
