*Noah POV*
----------------------------------
I awoke in my room. Somebody from the staff must've carried me. I looked at the new book on my nightstand. I didn't remember but apparently, I had gotten halfway through it before I fell asleep. I then noticed a bouquet of roses behind it. How did that get there?
I was confused. I had just woken up in a different place from where I fell asleep, there are suddenly flowers on my nightstand. Usually, those pop up on my doorstep.
I looked out to the garden. Wyn was tending the Hydrengias. I watched as he watered them and checked to see if any bugs had come. Alas, I doubt he notices me. Sam usually hangs around the garden so I have an excuse to visit.
"My lord." Sara walked into my room. She seemed flustered. Her hands were behind her back and there were pink roses in her hands.
"Yes, Sara? Where did you get those flowers?"
"Oh! Sa- your friend gave them to me. Anyways, My lady Noel requires your presence."
"Did you ask her why she needed me?"
"No, I'm sorry."
"No need to be sorry Sara, I'll ask her myself. Thank you." I smiled at her. As soon as she left, I got a good, quiet, snicker. Quite bold of you Sam, I thought.
"Yes, Noel?"
"Ah, Noah. Thank you for coming on such short notice." My sister had an unreadable face. Either she was about to kill me to take the throne, or she wanted to get a pet cat. Our Mum was allergic.
"What did you need me for?" I asked.
"It's about... you know." She smirked.
I sighed, "Okay."
"Great. I have a plan to get you two together."
"What is it." I was starting to regret telling her.
"You go out into the garden to talk to Sam. He has to leave, you stick around. Wyn talks to you, you then confess your love, he says yes, you two get married and I get a cat. Easy."
"Ha, I don't know about most of that plan, but the beginning will work. Before Sara arrived I was planning to head to the garden anyways."
"Good." I looked at my sister as I walked away. I walked through the castle, taking the shortcut to the garden. As I passed the map room, I heard yelling. It was my parents.
"YOU NEED TO STOP! YOU CAN'T JUST EXPECT HIM TO FALL IN LOVE WITH JUST ANY MAIDEN!"
"WE NEED HIM TOO! WE CAN'T HAVE NOEL TAKE THE THRONE! IT WOULD RUIN OUR REPUTATION!"
I walked quite a bit faster.
I pushed open the side door, the one that I often look at, contemplating whether I should visit the garden or not. I walked out into the sunlight, it was very bright. Must be good for the flowers. I walked around to the garden. I walked under the fence arch that marks the entrance.
