A day or two have passed since we joined our girls last. Luisa still hasn't told anything to Claire, she's been waiting for Frederic and to hear his counsel.

This day had been slow and monotonous, so our trio of lovers had decided to go on their own little date.

Elise knew of this little garden, the courtyard of a block of townhomes. The previous residents were wealthy merchants that were off on business in Venice.

They all separately dressed in their prettiest dresses, they met in the kitchen and prepared to set of, when Colette came as if from nowhere.

"Where you three off to?" She asked rather accusatory.

"To find ways to make some money." Chloe said unphased.

"Oh yeah? You three been spending a lot of time together lately." Colette mentioned as she leaned against the doorway of the stairwell.

Luisa and Elise looked at each other flushed, anxious about being found out.

Chloe remaind stone faced and looked at Colette, which she hadn't bothered to do before.

"I know friendship is hard concept for you, but we all happen to like each other." Chloe said. She always resented Colette's bitterness and never got a long with her.

"Maybe you lot like each other too much?" She asked.

"What is this Colette?" Chloe now asked angrily.

"Nothing!" She said in that faux innocent tone that snakes were known for.

"Slither off back to your nest." Chloe said as she ushered Elise and Luisa out of the house.

Colette only laughed with such snark and then slithered back upstairs.

As they walked outside Elise asked. "Do you think she knows?"

"I don't know. She seemed to have a problem though." Chloe said.

"Who cares if she knows?" Luisa asked. "Everyone knows that I'm the queer girl who likes women."

"But no one knows we do too!" Elise said worried.

"I'm sure Claire and the others won't care." Lusia said.

"Maybe. I don't know." Chloe said. She turned to her lovers stopping them. "Don't worry about it today. Let us just enjoy our own company, my loves!" She said as she grabbed both their hands.

"You're right!" Luisa smiled as she kissed Chloe. Elise followed up with a sweet kiss of her own.

"Now let's go to this garden I hear is so wonderful." Chloe said and they were off through the loud and rambunctious streets of Paris.

They finally reached their destination, the houses were guarded by guards stationed to ward off looting. But for three innocent teenage girls they permitted them to look and lounge about the garden, but no further.

They entered through the iron gates and walked down a neat gravel path towards what looked to be hundreds and hundreds of flowers! Bushes, potted plants, vines creeping up and around trellises. Hummingbirds and bees buzzed around the flowers, little squirrels and other creatures pranced about. It's like they'd found a miniature forest in the middle of the forbodingly large city of Paris.

"This is wonderful!" Elise said as she gazed around in amazement.

"It truly is!" Luisa said.

"And will be made more beautiful by this!" Chloe said as she revealed a small bottle of sherry.

"Where were you hiding that?" Luisa asked.

"I'll never reveal my secrets!" Chloe laughed. "Couldn't snuggle glasses in though so we will just have to share the bottle." She said as she took a sip.
