I was walking to work the next day when I saw the worst thing ever,no I didn't see my brother using the toilet with the door open.I don't even have a brother, but trust me even seeing your cousin is that haunting,I still get shivers just thinking about it.Instead I saw him, Graham Douglas.
"Do you have a fetish with stalking girls in general or is it just me"
"Trust me it's just you,I don't chase girls" he says this with one eyebrow raised and a stupid smirk on his face
"I didn't say chase,I said stalk,I'm pretty sure they're really different"
"Whatever,where are you going"
"To heaven"
"Okay then I'll just keep following you till we get there then"
"Don't you have anything better to do"
"I do but I've dedicated my whole afternoon to my favorite girl"
At this point I just want to pull my hair out "I'm not your girl"
"But you could be" I'm tired of talking about this so I just decide to ignore him while he keeps stalking me till I get there. So it's no surprise when I come out to start my shift and find him sitting in a booth.
"I never imagined you would work in a diner"
"I need the money" I say as I shrug
"Hey I'm not judging,I just never pictured it and even now you still look extremely out of place"
"Yeah, well I have to go back to work and since you're not ordering,my boss might think I'm slacking off " the beginning was true but the end was a lie ,my boss was a total Angel.
"We wouldn't want that now would we " My shift was almost over was when Graham finally decided to order,I signal to Anne my coworker that I'll take it
"I've decided to order coffee and also buy your remaining time"
"What?"
"I need to talk to you and I don't want your boss to be mad at you so I thought this was the best way" He can be so nice sometimes, too bad he doesn't know that my shift ends in the next ten minutes
"Okay" .When I returned with his coffee after explaining the situation to my boss,I sat down not knowing that I was about to have basically the most bizarre conversation of my life.
"Will you please be my girlfriend"
" I thought we've been over this and I remember saying no"
"I know but please just hear me out" I nod at him to continue " I may have already spread the word that we're dating"
"You did what?"
"I said may and it may have gotten to the ears of my father and he may be asking to meet you"
"I think I just got an instant migraine,why would you even do - - - "
"I said may"
"Sorry, why 'may' you have ever done that" he looks at me with raised eyebrows
"Is that even grammatically correct"
"Forgive me for my incompetence in English Grammar then, and I was being sarcastic, but if there was even a 99.9% chance that you did all those things, I'm not accusing you, I'm just asking why you would do that, what would you stand to gain"
"If there was even the slightest chance that I did those things it would be because I like you and I didn't know it would escalate that much and also because you frustrated me and I wanted to annoy you, well relatively speaking of course"
"Of course, God, you are such a kid sometimes"
"Please say you'll do it"
"How do you expect me to say yes, after everything you've done, see what you did just because you had some hurt feelings"
"I do not have hurt feelings and you'll say yes because you're a good person and friend and because my dad will never let me live this down"
I huffed "Fine, I'll do it, so where do I sign" At that I was met with the sound of his joyful laughter.
