"Cabir, are we going to stay here?", a handsome young man in his mid 20's asked his friend, Cabir, looking around the place they had entered a few minutes ago.
"For the 25th time in the past 10 minutes, Manik, yes we are going to stay here.", Cabir replied, sighing as he sat on one of their bags.
Running his fingers through his thick, jet-black hairs, Manik wondered whether he will be able to stay in there or not.
It was a small flat in one of the ordinary five storey buildings. The wooden main door opened into a compact room that could be used as a living room. There was another small room on the right followed by a mini kitchen area. The bathroom on the left was hardly one-fourth of the living room in size.
"Problem kya hai? It's a nice place.", Cabir said as he observed Manik's discomfort.
"Of course, it's a nice place. The ceiling is so beautifully decorated with the cobwebs, half of the plaster on the walls has fallen out, the ripped curtains are covering the window with the broken glass, and not to forget the cockroaches performing belly dance over there on the floor. And we don't even have any furniture except for that poor one leg fractured chair in the corner.", Manik mocked.
"So much sarcasm. Typical Manik Malhotra.", Cabir muttered. "Chill na, Manik. Trust me this is the most decent place I found within our budget. Just a bit of cleaning and it will be perfect. Aur hum thodi idhar hamesha rehne wale hai. We will move out in a much better place soon.", he continued 'trying' to convince Manik.
