"There you are you two!" His mother yelled, Taehyung carefully sliding Jungkook out of his hold. The prince didn't know how to act, overthinking way too much about the closeness they were in just a minute ago, how he felt Taehyung's mint breath on his lips. What the hell was he thinking about it for?
His mother finally arrived in all glory, pretty coral dress flowing down onto the rich black horse. "You're safe, thank the lord! I was afraid you fell somewhere!" She jumped off her own horse and gave Jungkook a hug which he returned. She pulled off and gripped him by the shoulders, looking around his face for any bruises or dirt. "Mom I'm really fine, I didn't fall." He pushed her hands away, standing up. "Let's go home...."

."Oh majestans! Welcome back! How was the ride?" The hostler asked with a saddle in his hands, happy to see they've returned. Jungkook didn't say anything, only jumped off the horse, took off his helmet and walked off. Taehyung noticed and quickly jumped off as well, making sure he's in a step with the prince. Hostler looked at him confused, reaching out a hand for the queen to help her down. "Anything happened?"
"Don't worry about it. Jungkook just can't ride. Still."
Jungkook angrily stumped down the hallway, none of the servants brave enough to ask him what's wrong. Taehyung followed behind swiftly, merely keeping up with his speed. "Sir please wait."
"No Kim Taehyung, I won't. Now stop following me." He bit harshly, not even sure why he was so annoyed. It was just a dumb horse, or maybe that wasn't the reason at all. Maybe the reason was Taehyung. How he looked at him and how close he was, guard is supposed to protect and not do...whatever that was back in the forest. "Sir, please." "No Kim leave me alone. I need to prepare for dinner." Jungkook went to his room and before Taehyung could follow in he shut the door right in front of his face. He sighed, loosing up his shirt. It was unnecessary to be toxic to Taehyung, yes, Jungkook admits his behavior isn't the best. But suddenly Taehyung's extra beautiful face makes him angry for no reason.
The thinks back about what happened in the forest. They're probably hunting sir. His fucking deep ass voice, what did he pull that for? It was absolutely unnecessary and made Jungkook's heart beat unusually fast. He couldn't figure out why, neither why Taehyung used that deep voice or why it has him feeling all frustrated. "Your majesty? Are you alright?" A soft voice murmured from outside, the servant probably ready to call him for dinner. "I'm fine. I'll be at dinner in a minute." "Alright."
Jungkook never went to dinner, instead he spent rest of the night reading and looking out the window. The servants came by to check on him every hour, him telling them off each and every single time. It was comforting in the silence, no one there to watch over him or any crazy events pushing up his adrenaline. Just him alone, reading as the sun slowly set. Once the sky turned dark and bright stars spread across the surface, Jungkook took out an antique rustic telescope. He placed his eye to the eyepiece, moving the telescope slowly to scan the stars, catching a gamplice of Jupiter proudly standing in the sky. Another knock interrupted his sight-seeing and made him jump a little.
"Go away." He called not once taking his eye off the eyepiece. "Sir it's me, your mother sent me." Jungkook sighed, pushing himself up from the floor to walk over to the door. He unlocked it, Taehyung standing in a red uniform this time looking at him softly. "Thank you sir." Jungkook nodded and pulled Taehyung in, locking the door once again. He passed the guard and went back to his telescope, searching for more planets. "Oh are you into astrology sir?" Taehyung broke the silence, looking over to where the prince sat. Jungkook pulled away. "Yes, it's interesting. I haven't had time to watch the stars these days through." He smiled and patted the spot next to him, Taehyung gleefully taking a seat next to him. "Nice telescope."
"Why thank you."
"It looks like it had it's years. Is it perhaps a family gift sir?"
"Yes it is. My grandfather passed it over to me when I was seven. I miss him a lot." Jungkook looked down, now scanning the sky freely with both eyes. "What about you? Do you like astrology?"
"It's not really my forte." Taehyung started. "But hearing you talk about it so proudly is fun your majesty." Jungkook looked at Taehyung, the moonlight highlighting his features perfectly, mouth in a smile. "I'd love to hear something about it from you." This quite shocked Jungkook since nobody asks anything about his hobbies, and his parents only care about what they expect from a future king and that definitely isn't astrology. His sister asked from time to time but now she's gone.
"You really want to hear it? Like really? You aren't doing this just because I'm a prince right?""I'm certain." Jungkook smiled and pulled Taehyung in by the arm to the telescope. "See that star over there? The brightest one, that's sirius. Next to it is a constalation orion." He took his hand and pointed it in the direction of the constalation, Taehyung making an Oh sound. "What's it's story?" Jungkook hummed. "I know constalations have stories, what's that ones story?" Jungkook pulled away from the guard excided. "You really want to hear it? I mean it's quite long and complicated."
"I'd be able to listen to you the whole night sir." Taehyung proped his head up onto his hand, elbow digging into his knee. Jungkook again felt his face redden, a little embarrassed that someone is actually willing to listen to all his rambling. "Alright then, I'll tell you about it."
