Chapter 9: lifeless Eyes

"Mama...mama...mama...wake up mama..." Aven heard a small voice calling her. She hardly openness her eyes to see her son. Ignoring all her pains she sat up to hug him. She looked at his son and again peppered him with kisses. The little boy laughed in his mother's Warmth.

"Mama  where are we?"
"Adrian promise me you won't go near anyone except me"

The child was nervous and was confused of what's happening. He was filled with questions but seeing his mother's face and reactions he decided to keep quiet

"Promise mama"
"My good boy. Are you hungry?"
"No mama. A very good man fed me tasty food"

Aven panicked at the moment and looked at his son and checked him up whether he has spots being allergic or poisoned by the food.

"Love tell me do you feel nauseous, dizzy or any pain"
"No mama I feel full."

The boy scurried towards the table near the bed and grabbed a grape from the tray which was filled with food.

He fed it to his mother. If anyone was seeing this beautiful scene they would feel warmth in there heart, tears in their eyes and peace in mind.

On the other side, a man with a sad and guilty expression stood looking at his beloved family still thinking and repenting of where they went wrong.

At Night Aven washed her son and had him wear clean clothes. Everything they need was given to the fullest. Damien always watch afar. He looked at how his wife hides all the lifeless emotions with a happy smile towards their son.

Adrian slept cuddling his mother while Aven pats his back to lull him to sleep.

"You can come in now"
Damien was scared at the same time surprised. He slowly walked in.

"I'm sorry for disturbing my love. You should get some sleep."
"Stop beating around the bush Damien let's have real talk"

Both sat face to face in the corner. Due to moonlight Aven looked like a goddess. Damien's breathe hitched looking at the beauty.

"Aven love please forgive me"
"How do you even ask me those words. Damien I know you might repent on what you did. But I can't take those days easy. I gave you my everything while you threw me away. Please Damien let me and my son go. I don't want a penny from you. If you still love me like you say let me go. It's not that I will trust another man but I just want to build my little boy to a perfect man. Please Damien I beg you."

With the last words Aven felt on her knees to hands folded like she's begging from God.

Damien only saw her lifeless eyes  but he just stood up and went while Aven cried in the same posture

He went outside and saw Shaw smoking a cigar. He came and took the cigar but this time he didn't smash it but had a deep inhale.

"So what's the order boss?"
"Call the Doc and make him prepare everything need"
"Roger that"
