Chapter 6 : Never mine

The ceramic plate fell off her hand as she heard her son's scream. She ran towards the door having many thoughts running on her mind.

"Mom..look"

Seeing her son's bright face she was confused.

"Adriano why the hell were you screaming...you scared the living hell out of me"
"Mom look"

Aven looked at the entrance to find a familiar figure. He walked inside the house while Aven carried Adrian in her arms and hugged him tightly. She had a frown in her faced but surprised as well.

"Aven"
"Hello liam"
"It's been 2 years. Can we talk?"
"Sure come inside"

Aven was looking at him with a frown after all why wouldn't she, they were the ones who neglected her, simply they forgot her. Liam went and sat on floor while Aven served some Bamboo tea.
Liam looked around the living room. It was cheap but the way Aven keeps it the house looked charmless elegant.

"You look perfectly fine"
"I do"
"The others wanted to come but they only will make it har...."
"Liam please stop beating around the bush and tell me the reason you came here"

Liam was quite surprised and felt guilty of how much annoyance he saw in Aven's face towards him

"Aven I know you won't forgive me for what I did but I'm asking you a simple request"
"Carry on"
"A chance...a single chance for us to prove how much we love you and how mu..."

Aven raised her hand as Liam zipped his mouth. Even though he is elder still they would shut up when they see Aven angry

"I knew from the moment that you came to say those words. But I'm sorry Liam I cannot come back to that hell hole"
"Aven I know we are the worst but still I love you a lot. You are like a daughter to me. Please Aven think about Adrian"

"You all never cared about him I still remember what you said or may I remind you 'we already have enough of you now you are gonna give birth to a bastard, how pathetic' I waited for seven years for you guys to come back to me at least to respect me and give me the place of friend at least but no you just used me as a maid and a punching bag."

Tears were streaming down her face as she shouted at him in the mean time Adrian was on the bed confused and also scared he started playing with his lion plushie which he calls him as Mr roar.

"Aven I know we did wrong and Damien regrets it. I swear to god the time he knew Bianca betrayed her. He ran towards you. Bit you were gone from that day onwards he never smiled but until two weeks ago when he found out you are here. He was so happy. Those eyes I saw that day was the same eyes I saw when he confessed you. Please think about Adrian. How is he supposed to live without his father"

"Oh you don't have to worry about that as soon as he woke up after the accident he lost his memories he only remembered me. He knows that his father is taken by angels so he is looking from the clouds so you don't have to worry so please...please get out of our lives let me live with my son alone by myself. I can afford for both just like how I did please"

"I'm sorry...I can't anymore...the best is to let go of something that never was mine"

Liam looked at the crying girl who had loved them for years, whom made them her only family. But now the dearest person in their lives want them to leave her. In other words, she's Scared of them. It felt like being stabbed by thousands knives.

Aven fell on her knees crying. Liam wanted to go and hug her tightly saying it's ok but he couldn't, other than running to the car and crying more like shouting in grief and regret

On the second car a man was sitting and listened to each and every word she said. He felt like that he died just now. Those words killed him again and again

"I'm sorry...I can't anymore...the best is to let go of something that never was mine"
