While the two Reed girls were just getting home from school, the house next door was silent. Silent and still, to all but the inhabitants. Inside, it was chaos.
"Open the door right now, you insolent child!" Constance screamed through the locked door of the boys room. She got no reply, which caused her to shout again.
"Michael,  open the goddamn door or so help me I'll--"
She was cut off when the door abruptly opened. "What, Mother?" Michael asked sharply. "What could possibly be so important as to bother me when my door is locked?"
Constance took a moment to look at her adopted son. Even though he had only been alive for eight short years, he had every appearance of being twice that age. His mental capacities were far beyond anything but the most intelligent humans on the earth. His eyes were a shocking blue, and his hair was blonde like his father's.
In short, Constance thought he was perfect. A perfect child.
"Honey, you have to learn to control yourself! Just now, when you came home, you were covered in blood. Where'd that blood come from, hm?"
"I wasn't covered in blood, Mom." Michael tried to close the door, but Constance wedged her body in between the door and the frame.
"Let me in, Michael!" Constance hissed. "Let me-"
"Fine! If you want to see so badly, then take a look!"
Constance barged in, but was barely surprised when she saw the blood-soaked clothes lying on the floor.
"Michael, baby, you know you have to control your urges!" She paused, but then asked, "Who was it? Hopefully no one we know, we can't have any more inquiries..."
Michael sighed. "Don't worry, it was just some chick from the grocery store. She was asking for it."
Constance gave him a dissaproving stare. "And what did she do to ask for it?"
Michael smirked. "She decided to follow me when I asked her to."
Constance sighed again, but still hugged her now-taller-than-her son. "Oh, I can't stay mad at you. I love you too much."

A/N- The picture above is Michael!
