*Shanes pov*

Cassey screamed out and then ran towards the brown haired boy laying on the ground. I growled, not liking how close they were, but then I saw the look on her face. she didn't look at him like she looked at me, even if we were mates. The look on her face said that  their relationship went a lot deeper than what I thought, it was a look that a concerned sister would give her brother. "Shane you have to help them, please, help them" I looked down at her, and then to my beta Thomas. "Take them to the pack doctor, inform me when they wake up" I said through the mind link. Thomas looked at me and nodded, some of the warriors came and helped picked them up off the floor and took them the infirmary. "My men took them to the doctor, they will be okay" I told her, she sighed in relief and then stood up. She turned around to face me and smiled apologetically. "I'm sorry about that" I shook my head and wrapped my arm around her, I smiled when she shivered. "Don't be princess but let's go to my study we have much to discuss" she nodded and followed me. I knew she was a rogue I could smell that she didn't have a pack, and from the smell those other three had, they must be her friends. I wanted to ask her why she became a rogue, did her pack kick her out? Did she runaway? But I didn't want to push her for information, I wanted her to tell me herself. I opened the door to my study and went to sit behind my desk, Cassey say in a chair in front of me. "I know that you are a rogue," I started it out "but if your not comfortable with telling me your story yet, I can wait." She nodded and just looked at me, "Also you are my mate, so you are also Luna of this pack," I stopped waiting for her to say something, but the silence dragged on that I was afraid she would reject me. I couldn't let that happen, I needed her, already I loved her.

"I know I am your mate, but you should know I never wanted a mate, I always told myself that if I found mine I would reject him" Her words were like a knife to my heart, one that felt like she twisted as deep as it would go. "but I am willing to give us a chance, I can't deny the mate bond, and I must repay you for the kindness that you have shown me and my friends," suddenly the knife was removed and was replaced by happiness. "so I Cassey Raven Jones of the Red woods pack accepts Shane...." she trailed off waiting for me to give her my last name. "Robinson" I said, she nodded and continued, "accepts Shane Robinson from the midnight moon pack as my mate" I can't explain the feelings that coursed through me, I wanted to pick her up and kiss her, but that might be too soon. Granted I did hug her, she giggled and it was the most beautiful sound I have ever heard. There was a knock on the door, and then it opened. Thomas stuck his head in, "sorry to interrupt alpha, but the rogues are woke" Cassey perked up in my arms at those words, "okay Thomas we will be down shortly" he nodded, and bowed before closing the door. "come princess, introduce me to your family." She giggled again and took my hand leading me out the door, before she realized she didn't know where she was going, and let me take over. I took her to the infirmary, I had to talk to the doctor, who was a nice old she-wolf. Cassey went into the room with her friends. When I went into the room she was kneeling on the floor by the girls bed.
They were having a conversation, they stopped talking however when they realized I was in the room. "Hello, I am Shane, the alpha of this pack" the girl that Cassey was talking to looked at me and then looked at her. "it's okay Ash, he won't hurt us" the girl still stated at Cassey, then she cleared her throat" "I'm Ashely" her voice was raspy so I asked the doctor to bring her some water. She thanked me as she sipped at the water. I heard coughing and looked up at the blond haired boy across from Ashely. "where the hell am I" he mumbled, he sat up and rubbed at his head. "Ashely, are you okay?" He asked, she nodded . That's when he noticed Cassey. "Omg Cass, we been so worried about you, we are completely sorry and you were right, we shouldn't have forced you to find a mate" the boy kept rambling until Cassey stopped him, "It's okay Dylan, it was my fault, I overreacted" the boy sighed, and then he realized that I was standing in the door. "Who the hell is that?" He said, I growled at him, Casey's friends or not I won't tolerate any disrespect. "I am alpha Shane of the midnight woods pack" The boys hostile expression twisted into one of fear. Apparently my reputation exceeds me. "Don't worry, I will not hurt you, you are all welcome here" I told them, the boy's expression did not waver. He turned to Cassey again, "Where is James?" He said. She pointed to the bed across the room. "He suffered the greatest of wounds" I told him. Cassey stood and walked over to his bed, she wiped the hair back from his face and kissed his forehead. Even though I knew that she didn't feel anything for him, I couldn't help the jealousy that I felt,which was amplified by my wolfs feelings. Dammit with the commotion of Casey's friends waking up, I forgot to tell Cassey about the ceromoney to invoke her into my pack, I guess that will be a conversation for later.
The doctor came in then, she walked
to James first and checked his charts, she did the same to Ashely and Dylan. "you guys are looking good, but you need more rest, your healing very slowly." she turned to me "alpha, you must take the Luna and go, so the young ones can rest" I nodded and went to take Cassey's hand. "Luna?" Ashely said, Cassey blushed and hid her face in my chest, then she nodded. "We will speak about this later" Ashely said, she nodded again, the doctor then told us to leave, I pulled genly on Cassey's hand. Outside of the infirmary Cassey seemed to be locked in her thoughts. "what do you want to do today princess?" She looked at me, as she thought about it, then she said " I want to spend time with you" My heart started to beat fast in my chest, she looked so beautiful right now. Her golden hair was up in a high ponytail, and she didn't have on any make-up but she was still gorgues. She had the most breath taking blue eyes, the lightest color I've ever seen, and her lips were a light pink color, and her smell was like something I couldn't describe: honey and lilac with a mixture of the wind, it was mouth watering. "Sure princess, I know just what to do" I walked her back to our room and told her to wait until I came back to get her. I had the perfect date planed.
