*The Next Morning*

*Shane's P.O.V*

I woke up feeling totally at ease. Looking down at the beauty that was wrapped around me, her legs were intertwined with mine, and her head on my chest. Nothing could make this moment better, I traced the mark that I put on her neck. I pushed down on it slightly, she stirred a little and let out a soft moan. I was instantly hard but I knew she would be sore so I didn't try anything. A thought occurred to me and I gently untangled myself from Cassey, I went to the conjoined bathroom that we had and started a warm bath for her, I added some lavender scented bath salts and strawberry vanilla bubble bath. The tub we had in here was very spacious, so I filled it up to at least half way and then went to go wake my princess. She was cuddling my pillow, inhaling my scent. I guess she missed me, I shook her gently, calling her name. "Cassey, Cass baby its time to wake up" She stirred again, rolling over and hugging my pillow tighter. I laughed at her, trying a different way to wake her this time. I took her hand and place small kisses up her arms to her chest and then finally her mark. She moaned a little louder and her free hand reached out to clutch at my head. "Okay I'm up, I'm up" she giggled. Gosh she was so beautiful, how did someone like her get paired with someone like me? I thank the moon goddess everyday regardless even if it is a mistake. I scoop her up into my arm and she squels, shaking with laughter. "Good morning kitten" I say into her ear, she looks up at me, reaches a hand up and cups my face. "Good morning Alpha" I shiver as her breath fans across my face, causing my arousal to heighten. I walk her to the bathroom and place her on her feet. I hold her face in my hands and just stare into her eyes. "I love you so much" I say through our mind-link. Her eyes widen and then tears well up in them, and then I hear the words that I've been dying to hear. " I love you so much more" I couldn't help myself any longer and I kissed her, practically smashing my lips on hers. I traced her lips with my tongue asking her for entrance, she denied me so I forced my way in. She moaned and jumped on me, wrapping her legs around me, I forgot we were both still naked and she began grinding on me. I cursed and set her down, I backed away from her. "Dammit Cass, your gonna kill me. Please don't tempt me, I'm trying to be good here, just get in the damn tub princess" She giggles but otherwise did what I said. I climbed in after her and began to wash her body, moving as slowly as possible; making sure I pay special attention to her sensitive areas. She seemed to enjoy it as she relaxed against me. After a while I stopped washing her and we just sat in the tub until the water got cold.  I was so relaxed, I loved having Cassey in my arms but I needed to attend to some pack business, so we needed to get out. Cassey's body had gone kind of slack in my arms and I wonder if she had fallen asleep again, even though we kind of technically just woke up. Sure enough though I heard her soft snores emitting from her chest, I stood up from the water, with her in my arms and carefully climbed out of the tub. I didn't even bother with getting a towel and just went straight to our room to lay her on the bed. I went to lay her down when she began to unconsciously clutch at my chest, even in her sleep she wanted to be close to me . I sat her down on my side of the bed so that she could smell my scent and pulled one of my t-shirts on her. She looked so beautiful, I swiped a piece of hair away from her face and just admired her.

I'm so grateful that the moon goddess blessed me with such a mate, I would do anything to protect her. I went to my office to do some more research on the alpha from red woods. I found out his name was Xavier Black, his father Xander Black died mysteriously from some sort of poison and Xavier was given alpha position shortly after that. His pack isn't that strong, they're obviously aren't on my level yet. Still I'm going to double the guards on patrol, and start a more rigorous training for the soldiers. I didn't like that I didn't know much about this pack, and being in the dark made me angry. I could always ask Cassey about it, but every time she talked about her old pack she got this scared look in her eyes. "Dammit" I cursed as I punched a hole in the wall, this guy was irritating me and I didn't even know him.
