He sat there looking at her. She moved with her friends around the gym floor. Her long blond hair went well with her emerald green dress. Looking around he couldn't help but notice that he was yet again alone. Heaving a sigh of pain he turned and left the gym. The pain of death was still fresh on him. Not but a few weeks ago he had been bitten by something. Something that the doctors didn't know but he did. Vampire. Alex was just about out of the building when he heard someone come up to him. He turned around and saw that it was his friend Alexa.

"Alex wait up." She said as she ran up to him. Shrugging his shoulders he waited for her.

"Alex why are you leaving so early?" She asked while catching her breath.

"I'm not feeling to well I think it would be better if I headed home" he replied in his calm but yet soft voice.

"Well what's wrong?"

Alex sighed and looked at her. She was a living being yet she was one of the few people he knew who tried to help him in life. Suddenly she screamed and was on the ground. He whipped around and pulled out his knife looking for what had caused her to pass out. He didn't have to look long because it was just a few yards from where he stood.

A man stood in between two long dead skeletons. Snapping his fingers the skeletons shuffled towards Alex. With in human speed he ran up to them and shattered them. Turning to face the man he could tell he was a mage. His robes where that of pure black and his fingers moved rapidly in his next spell. Alex hurled his knife at him and to his expectation it bounced off an invisible shield. However the mage lost his concentration and so too his spell.

"My turn." Alex growled as he snapped his fingers and magically lifted the young mage. Straining he tried to move his hands to cast his spell but failed to. Instead he spat out a word and magically hurled his own knife at the young vampire. It impaled itself in his chest but did nothing to him. Walking carefully he headed to the mage.

"You should know better than to attack a vampire alone" Alex whispered to him. "now you're going to tell me how you found me and who sent you."

Gasping for breath the mage spat out a few unintelligible words.

"Barova, master, army" then his eyes widened and he breathed no more.

Alex looked around. He picked up Alexa and he gently laid her on the schools front doors then took off flying.

Off somewhere else a figure was looking through a glass orb. Chuckling to himself he covered the orb.

"Come there much work to be done" he declared and disappeared without a sound.
