Shuichi's POV:
The morning announcements go on again, but this time something new was added."Can everyone head to the gymnasium? I have a new motive to propose!"
Ugh. Anything but a new motive. They're always depressing shit that makes us all sad. But since we have to, we all head to the gym with our usual outfits on. I make it in there and I was the last one to come. I look around. Actually, I wasn't the last one! It seems like we're still waiting on Kokichi. But the bear suddenly appears.
"Phuphuphu! Hello ultimates! Ready to hear about your new motive?"
I look around to make sure Kokichi wasn't just somehow blending into the crowd.
"Wait- where's Kokichi? I thought the motive can't be told until everyone's here."
The bear looked at me with a plain face.
"Im getting to that, geez. Be patient!"
He sighed.
"Kokichi is actually the new motive."
There was gasps and confusion going around in the room. Kaito decided to be the one to clear everything up.
"Okay, two things. One, how can a person be a motive? And two, what did that son of a bitch do!?"
Monokuma laughed his usual laugh.
"Phuphuphu! Just look at the screen! I set a monitor and camera in his 'new' room, so we can observe him."
A big tv screen popped out from the roof and slowly came down. After Monokuma pressed a button on the remote, the screen showed a pretty clean room. If you ignore the dirt creeping into the room from the walls. But there was also Kokichi. He was kind of just wandering around having no idea what's going on. He tried going to a door in the room, and pushed a button. I don't know what he was expecting to happen, but he seemed shocked. He started banging on the door.
"H-Hello? Is this a prank? Let me out please! Let me out!"
He started banging on the door more aggressively. It looked like it was hurting his hands. I spoke up.
"Where is he, and is he okay?"
Monokuma spoke back.
"Uh, I'm not telling you, and let me ask."
He held down a yellow button on the remote, and started speaking.
"So Kokichi, how's your new room?"
"Monokuma? Let me out. I swear I'll do anything, just let me out!"
"Phuphuphu! It seems you're not doing so well."
"Of course not you stupid build-a-bear reject!"
Monokuma let go of the yellow button.
"It seems he lost his confidence. Welp. Ah! That reminds me. On your monopads I've included a software that lets you check up on Kokichi whenever you want!"
Maki just looked at him with a stare. And so did Kaito. Both had the same question.
"And why would we want to save him? After all, he's annoying and hasn't helped a single time."
Monokuma started back at them with an evil grin on his face.
"Well first off, the more days you are unable to find him, he gets more and more sick. And if he dies, I have no choice but to execute a random person."
Everyone gasped, and murmurs went around. Each with frustration, sadness, nervousness, and anger for how unfair that is. Except one person didn't react like that. And it was Maki. As you probably expected.
"If a couple days have gone by, most likely two days.. yeah! Every two days I'll give a hint on how to get to him. And he does have a pretty good chance of dying. He won't have any food. But of course if someone kills another person... He'll survive. I think this motive is pretty stupid, but it'll have to do for now."
And just like that, Monokuma disappeared. As did the tv screen. I immediately went to check on Ouma. I open my monopad and I see the new feature Monokuma was talking about. I press on it, and there was Kokichi. He gave up trying to call for help. Instead he drank some of his grape Panta while sitting on his bed. I ended up watching him for about an hour, studying the room and seeing if there was anything that could give a clue about where he is. Saying there's dirt continuesly coming through the wall, and the door he was banging on was a door that would open upwards, he's probably underground. Plenty of sicknesses and not a lot of air is underground. We have to find him fast.
Kokichi's POV:
When I realized that my screaming for help wouldn't help, and the button that opened the door would not work, I kind of gave up on that idea. Instead, I would need to use my brain to get out of here. I had to think. This thing is not too far underground, but if I broke the roof to dig my way out, dirt would start pouring in and I'd most likely suffocate. Same thing with the walls. So I crossed that idea off my mental whiteboard. I could try breaking the door, but the door is made of metal and nothing in this room could break that. I also crossed that idea off. I need a break. My hands hurt from hitting the door. I trust Gonta and Rantaro. They're sure to find me and get me out... right?I climb onto my new bed (which by the way, wasn't as comfortable as my other one) and grab some panta I had transferred into here. I opened the panta bottle, and just sat there, drinking panta. That's it. That's really all there is to do. I look around the room, and I see another door. Leading farther down... Should I! What if it's not safe? What if I die down there? I thought for a minute. Would it matter if I died? No one would care. So I really have nothing to lose. I open the door, and there was a ladder. I climb down, awaiting for what will happen next. For where this new ladder would take me.
