A Kokichi Motive

Setting The Motive

Shuichi's POV:
Its been a couple of days since we got here. Everyone had warmed up to everyone. Well... almost everyone. There was a student named 'Kokichi' and he didn't get along well with people. People were hoping if there was to be a victim, he'd be the first. But I take interest in Kokichi. For he loves to lie without reason, or without telling us his reason. He's definitely got a personality I've never seen before.

The morning announcements went on, as per usual, and I got up to do my daily stuff. Stuff like brushing my hair and teeth, and getting dressed. I was about to leave but it felt like I was forgetting something. I reach up to tilt my hat downwards to cover my face more, when I realize that it wasn't even in my hair. I do a mini jog over to the nightstand, grab my hat, and put it on. Then I leave my dorm to get ready for breakfast. I head down the hallways when I heard shouting coming from the dining room. I peek my head inside of the room to see Kaito yelling at Kokichi. From what I heard, Kokichi seemed to be annoying them. I head inside.

"Hey, what's going on?"

Kaito looked at me.

"Sidekick! There you are. This little bastard was making fun of Maki, and annoying the heck out of us!"

I turn to Kokichi, and he strikes one of his signature poses. His hand behind his head, giving off a big grin. Thankfully, Kirumi had finished breakfast, and she was able to break the two up from getting hurt. She spoke, and her voice always sounded so patient and soothing.

"Now, now. Please do not argue. Breakfast is done. If one of you hurts the other to the point they.. die, then they will be, as Monokuma says, 'punished'."

That make Kaito back away. But not Kokichi.

"Andddd?~ I don't care!"

He always grins through his arguments with people. I really don't know why. Another reason why I've taken interest in him. B-But not in a romantic way! Gosh no. Definitely not..

Kirumi spoke again.

"Alright, everyone sit down. I'll hand out breakfast."

Everyone did as she said. Everybody was with their usual group. At one table was Me, Kaede, Maki, and Kaito. At another was Gonta, Rantaro, and Kokichi. At the table beside us was Tenko, Angie, and Himiko. And then the other table was everyone else.
I could slightly hear every conversation over Kaito loudly explaining about the stars. It seemed Gonta was talking to the other about his love for bugs. Rantaro either was or pretended to be very interested. Kokichi was just playing with his food. He wasn't eating any of it though. Maybe he's not hungry. I look over to the table beside us. Himiko seemed to be showing magic to the two sitting bedide her. Tenko kept saying stuff like:

"Oh my gosh Himiko!~ That was so coollll!~"

And Angie was just saying stuff like:

"Atua says that trick was amazing!"

Himiko seemed very proud in herself. Good for her! The other table was just talking about random stuff.

"Hey sidekick! You listening?"

Kaito was waving his hand in front of my face.

"Huh? Y-Yeah I was.."

"Then what did I say?"

I scrolled through my brain.

"Volans. You said Volans was your favourite star constellation to find."

Everyone just started back and forth from Kaito and me.

"Oh uh. Sorry! It just looked like you weren't paying attention."

Kaito was apologizing to me over and over. And I kept insisting it was fine. The kitchen monitor turned on. "Phuphuphuphu! Hello everyone!~ You all should be expecting a new motive soon sometime this week! Well, see ya!!" The screen turned off. When I looked around, everyone looked like they had gotten a little bit paler.

"I-I'm sure we'll be o-okay!"

I put a smile on my face to try and lighten the mood, and to make my words seem more truthful. The day went on like usual.

Kokichi's POV:
After breakfast was done, I headed outside. Outside was nice and warm. The perfect temperature for a nice sunny day! I had brought a little blanket that no one used with me, so I could lay it down on the grass. I had put the blanket down next to a tree, so I could lean up against the tree, and relax in the shade. I guess I took a nap there because when I woke up it was apparently Lunch. I knew this because Gonta came by telling me. I wasn't hungry so I just stayed out here. I made it to dinner before I felt tired again. But I've never been this tired..

I try to stand up but my legs were a little wobbly. Probably because I basically haven't walked or stood up for almost the entire day. Why am I so tired? I mean- I didn't sleep well last night, but I had a nap today. I don't feel so good either. Now that I remember, Monokuma talked to me yesterday about.. something? And I think I got hurt or.. yeah, something like that. I remember blood had been dripping from my head yesterday, which is probably why I woke up with this bandana on my head.

Yesterday after dinner, I went outside to relax. I bumped into Kaito, and he did quite the number on me. Blood was running on my face. I could feel it. Whenever I went up to touch my face my hand got covered in blood. I managed to make it to my dorm without raising alarm, and retrieved a bandana. Wrapping it around my head, where the bleeding started. I then washed my face. I looked like my normal self. I went back outside making sure Kaito wasn't anywhere near, and chose a different spot to relax. It was a very secret spot. There's a little pothole in the ground behind the school, and I accidentally stepped in it, which made a trapdoor open in front of me. Going in, not sure what I was going to see in there, it ended up being a little room. It looked like it hadn't been used in years. Nothing a little cleaning couldn't fix.

This could also be my new grape panta stash spot! No one could take my beloved panta from me again. I immediately started the process of carrying all my panta from my room, to my new secret room. I also had some rolled up posters of DICE that I didn't want to put up incase people invaded my room. Great! I now have all my panta on the shelves of the room, with my posters hung up on the wall. When I came out of the secret room, Monokuma was waited outside there for me.

"Phuphuphu! It seemed you have found my secret little room! Now you must pay. Especially for turning it into your room! That was mine! >:("

He was pouting like a little child. I close my eyes for a split second and Monokuma was already at my neck with a syringe.

"Nighty Night supreme leader!"

Oh. So that's what happened. I should probably tell Gonta or Rantaro. On my way to them, I fall to the ground with dizziness.

"Wha-"

I heard Monokuma's laugh before everything tuned black.
