Being a lawyer was never easy, whoever the fuck said it was easy, they had no idea what they were talking about. Just like any fine day, you were sitting on your leather chair, reading the newspaper with your glasses nearly falling at the tip of your nose. Once your meetings with today's appointment will be done, you will need to prepare for the case at the evening then a bachelor's party night with your sister who has her wedding in 2 days.

Being the most responsible loving younger sister, you still hadn't get married so, instead of hearing those taunts from your relatives, you decided not to take a few days off because your work is better than their so called advices.

Knock, knock, knock.

Alyssa Milano, your secretary knocked on your door as you saw from the desktop screen next to you via CCTV camera.

“Come in,” You allowed. As she pushed the door, her manicured hand on the door handle, she wore a white shirt and skirt with red heels. She smiled nervously at you. “Is something wrong?” You asked, confused by her nervous smile.

“Ma’am — some clients who have an appointment for next week are demanding to meet with you right now,” She mumbled, nervously. “They are being slightly rude... and bragging...”

Yes, unpunctual people, you dealt with these kind of situations now came those rich people who think they can get anything anytime without having to wait. You had to teach them a lesson. Of course, no one gets away from Advocate Y/N L/N.

Alyssa trailed off, “Ma’am, should I tell the guards to—“

“Send them in.” You cut her off.

“Okay...ma’am—” She nodded in confusion, starting to walk away. Once she left, you took off your glasses with the smirk tugged up at the corner of your lip as you put the newspaper at the side. Your mother always told you that you looked evil while smirking.

You didn't have a good argument in a while, this time, you might catch up good if they are interesting enough.

“Walk fast, hu— girl!”

You could hear a snarky angry Pomeranian’s voice. To see in your monitor, it was an angry blonde guy with a raven haired man with him following Alyssa to your chamber.

Hm, we have an angry Pomeranian today with us, you hummed thinking to yourself. So this was Caius Volturi, their secretary — Valentina none other than your friend recommended you for their case. You remember Valentina telling how much of a rude guy he is.

Time for some revenge, babe.

“Welcome, Mister Aro and Caius Volturi,” You said in the monotone voice as possible. “Have a seat, even I would like to know what happened that you forcibly decided to barge in between my appointments with other clients who had much more of important cases and discipline than you.” You smiled sarcastically, pointing at the chairs. Your eyes met with those weird brown eyes. His pale eyebrows furrowed. You became even more confused.

Maybe, he doesn't understand your sarcasm but he eyed you in the most rudest way possible. Is he normal or needs to be send to the psychiatrist?

“Hmp— a woman will be fighting for our case?” Words left from him in the most disappointed way. He eyed you down again, judging your makeup, his eyes zoomed over your forehead to your face. He turned to Aro Volturi, “We will be doomed if this woman fights our case.” He said, emphasizing his point that you aren't worthy.

A woman is not worthy? He woke up and chose violence then.

“Brother, have patience,” Aro Volturi hissed at the blonde, feeling ashamed. It was seemed like the raven haired was a stern mother trying to prevent her mischievous/insolent child from embarrassing her. “Even if it means for a moment but allow me to talk—”

“Uh, Mister Volturi, nevermind but let your companion to continue,” You interrupted him with a polite smile. As Aro was respectful, he deserved your respect but that blonde monkey will get what he deserves, you smirked hideously at the thought of your devilish motive. “Because once he is done speaking, my answer will make him mute.” Your smile turned to a silent snarl as you snapped your eyes at the specific blonde man.

Caius furrowed his eyebrows. “What you will say that can silent me? You don't have any power on me, lady, better know your limits.”

You giggled, mockingly.“Oh dang, I wouldn't even dare to look at my lawyer without pleading eyes if I were you, Mister Caius Volturi in such a conflicted situation where a single evidence about your crimes can get you exposed,” You were smirking now at him and he was silent. Aro knew better to stay out from the beef between you and Caius. “I have made myself worthy enough that I win a case against the opposite party who have millions of evidences against my clients,” You stood up and slapped on the desk, looking at him in the eyes. “But unfortunate — you don't want me as your lawyer and no one will be fighting your case for the sake of their reputation.” You sniggered, flipping your hair from your shoulder as you sat on your chair with pride.

Who's the daddy now? You thought to yourself mentally about Caius.

He kept staring at you. And Aro knew his companion really well, he could sense that the blonde is impressed by the ruthless woman.

“You are the one who will be fighting our case.” Caius said, never taking his eyes off from you.

You grew slightly uncomfortable from his intense staring but decided not to react to it, something was up with him for sure. “You will need to give me everything related to the case then,” You advised with hidden intentions in your mind. “It’s a deal then.” You stood up so, did they. You shaked your hands with Aro’s gloved ones as he politely thanked you.

When it came to Caius, he smirked, not letting go off your hand even after the shake, “I have a feeling, we will be getting quite along with each other.”

You raised your eyebrows, “We will see about that.” He let go off your hand as they left the file at your desk, departing from your office. Something is definitely fishy with them. That many missing people from their fort sort home, a really fishy secret which you will find out soon, after all, it was your job.
