A few days later, Angie, Matt, and Lily were in the Porsche on their way back to the agency. Angie just reunited one of her cell mates with her daughter.
Matt looked over at her and smiled. "I haven't seen you look so happy in a while."
"I just reunited a mother and her daughter, thank you very much! And my lawyer called."
"And," Lily asked.
"Well, I had to plead guilty to criminal mischief, but it's only a $90.00 fee and we have thirty days to pay it."
"Well there goes the coffee budget," Matt said.
"Aww," Lily said, slightly disappointed and slightly laughing.
"They also returned the million dollar bond. You shouldn't have done that, Babe. We could have lost our house and the agency."
"Yeah, and I could have lost my wife."
"And I could have lost my mom. I'm glad you're back. You didn't deserve what happened."
Angie looked back at Lily then over at Matt. "I love you both so much!"
When the family got back home, they ordered dinner and turned on a movie. It was a happy ending to a not so happy couple of weeks.
