At my engagement party.
Haley says"come on, there my granddaddy. I'll introduce you.
Haley and Sam walk over to my granddaddy.
Haley hugs her granddad.
Haley says"this is Sam emmets friend from medical school.
Haley looks over at Sam.
Haley says"this granddad he built this house.
Sam shakes my grandads hand.
Sam says"beautiful home sir.
Granddad says"thank you.
Sam says"I noticed you built a storm cellar. That was a smart move.
Granddad says"well you got to have one in these parts.
Sam says"I was curious is there anything weird about that cellar?
Granddad says"what do you mean by weird?
Sam says"I guess what I mean is I was down there during a really bad storm and my ears started ringing. I was just wondering why that was.
Henry says"well, that's easy during a bad storm,when air pressure drops and it gives you the ring.
Haley and Sam look at Henry.
Sam says"really? Okay, can you tell me more?
Before Henry can respond my fiancé is tapping a glass to get everyone's attention.
Fiancé says"good evening everyone. Welcome to my beautiful home. As most of you know, my children lost there beloved mother...last year to influenza. And although she can never be replaced. We are fortunate to have found someone wonderful to join our family. Haley porter.
Haley smiles and walks over to her fiancé.
Fiancé says"and now the only question that remains is...can she dance a turkey trot?
Everyone laughs.
Haley and her fiancé start dancing.
Fiancé says"wonderful news my darling I have arranged for our wedding announcement to come out with a photograph with a photographer.
Haley says"a photograph?
Fiancé says"yes.
Haley smiles excited.
Fiancé says"i must have a photo of you in you're bridal gown. For posterity.
Haley side glances at Sam and smiles.
Sam's pov
I walk into the dance room and see Haley dancing with her fiancé and she looks so beautiful.
Haley's pov
Fiancé says"who is he they young doctor?
Haley says"oh, a friend of emmets. Just passing through.
Sam's pov
Sam is lost in his thoughts about Haley that he doesn't even notice the little girl until she pulls on my sleeve and I look down.
Little girl says"I need someone to dance with.
Sam says"I'd love to but I don't know how to do the turkey trot.
Little girl says"I'll teach you.
Little girl grabs Sam's hand and pulls him along and they dance.
Haley's pov
Fiancé says"he seems to have a way with my girls.
I look over to see Sam dancing with one of my fiancés daughters and he's trying to learn the turkey trot but mostly failing. Haley smiles and then looks back to her fiancé.
Sam's pov
Haley's fiancé walks over.
Haley's fiancé says"Mildred it's time for bed.
Mildred runs upstairs.
Haley's fiancé says"thank you for entertaining my daughter.
Sam says"no problem.
Haley's fiancé walks away and Haley comes running over.
Haley's pov
Haley says"I don't how you were right but you were right.
Sam says"you're granddads friend just left.
Haley says"oh okay. My fiancé is putting the kids to bed would you like to go on a walk with me?
Sam says"sure.
