In which robots take over the world

My day starts off with me waking up (as most mornings do). There's no one else in my house as I've been living alone for little over a few months. If course my parents do check up on my but I don't really enjoy they're company. They rude and inconsiderate to everyone but me, and even worse towards the poor robots. They always make the excuse that they're not alive but it doesn't stop me from feeling bad. I mean they do everything humans are to lazy to and they repay them by insulting and a kick to the leg. That's not very good payment in my eyes, but who knows, I could be wrong. Anyway I'm getting off track.

I make my way downstairs to see that the cleaning bots were already at work. My house isn't the most messy but it's not the most clean either. I smile and thank everyone all of them. They just turn and nod with the same blank expression molded onto the metal faces. I don't mind though, I never really have.

I don't really remember who first made them, but they here now. Robots seem to do every task humans used to. They don't have the ability to talk at all but that doesn't really bother me. I mean, it doesn't matter if they can or can't as long as they can do what they're supposed to. Or at least that's what others think, I tend to have different looks on it. Just because we're lazy doesn't mean they shouldn't have to be mistreated.

The kitchen was already ready and tidy from the bots, the floor still slightly slick from the polish they lathered on. I take careful steeps but even then slip, catching myself on the counter before I have a chance to fully hit the ground. I chuckle akwardly as a few of the bots that were dusting the banister turn around and stare at me.

"Sorry, sorry." I say and go back the the first task of getting a bowl of cereal. As I open the cupboards I grab the box of cheerios and a bowl. It may be simple but it fill me up, and taste good. As much as people call my gross for it, I opt to skip the milk. Soggy cereal is straight form hell and I would like to skip the unpleasantness that it beings. I also realize that I'm missing some the things I was planning from lunch. The normal jar of spaghetti sauce missing from when I used it just last weekend. I look around and get a list of all the other stuff I need from the store. Just simple items as more garlic powder and some more printer paper. I write them down quickly and make my way back upstairs to grab shoes and get dressed.

The cleanings done and I make sure to thank them all once more. The 5 of them nod again and drive away in the cleaning cars that they arrived in. I start the long walk to the grocery store, I always wave to the robots that pass. I hear people murmur about to but oh well they can have their opinions.

I was just trying to get my groceries when I find myself tripping over some stupid child's foot. When falling I bang my head against the robot infront of me. God does that hurt. I apologize before anything and realize I ended up on the floor and another cleaning robot  cleaning up the glass and marinara sauce that had spilled. I try to get up but then I slip once more, this time I get a peice of glass in my hand. Sometimes I wonder if I really do have two left feet.

"Bitch" I whisper as I pull it out. News flash, glass in your palm is not a delightful feeling. I put pressure on the bleeding but I still manage to get some on the floor.  "Sorry" I say again to the bot that has to clean it. I guess it saw the blood or something cause next thing I know it's calling over another one. Call me insane but as it helped bandage me up it almost looked, concerned? Maybe I'm just going insane... Who knows at this point. My head still hurts, but that's as expected when you hit it on something made of solid metal. I turn to look at the one I hit and saw the small dent that I managed to make.

"Oh my gosh! So sorry" I say as I rush over to see if I caused any other damage. "It doesn't seem like there was anything other than the sent but I still feel really bad" I hover over it until I look up. It just waves it's hands back away. It then points at my head. I feel where it had hit and wince slightly as a slight throb rushes through the small bump forming. It's now my turn to wave my hand "oh I'm fine, it'll be gone in a few day" I smile and collect my groceries that were still in the bag thankfully even after the fall. I wave and check out, the bot waved as I waved back. And finally I headed home. What a mess I caused today.

The next day was normal when I woke up, the only thing out of the ordinary was the cleaning bots were there. I thought nothing of it u til I actually thought about it, there here every morning. Maybe I overslept? I looked at the clock built in the stove to see they should be here. I thought about calling to see but I didn't want to bother those poor bots. Besides they deserve a break. I mean they're here every morning. What's one off? I went back upstairs and was about to pass out again when I caught a glimpse of something. Was that fire outside!? I rush over to the window and look outside. Destruction was every where I could see. The only think untouched being my property.

Everything was either on fire or only rubble, everything except my house and yard. Strange. Suddenly the screen in the corner of my room comes to life. A robot is the only thing on screen, holding a sign...?

To all you humans

A new sign

We robots have decided to finally

Yet another one

Take over want we rightfully own.

I thought that would be it before another robot rushed out with a slightly smaller sign and handed it to the robot, it's posture immediately relaxing and it seemed happier somehow.

Except for you Tommy, your doing great hunny <3
