The world was different to say the least. There were no other actual people around but I never did care about them. It was actually really peaceful around here. The robots showed me more kindness then anyone had before.
There were these three in specific that stuck out to me. There was this one that had the tendencies of a crow in a way. It gave me little gifts when I showed it kindness. It wore this white hat with green stripes, and that was how I distinguished it from the others.
The second one played me songs on its guitar. They were my favorite things to listen to when sitting at that café a little ways away from my home. It's songs always in perfect tune and I can never seem to get them out of my head.
The last one is a robot with a crown. This one hangs out in my favorite bookstore. Part of the reason it's slowly become my favorite is because of this robot. It seems to know exactly what I want to read, as well as always helps me understand when I don't. It's forte seems to be Greek Mythology, and now it takes up a good portion of my knowledge.
These three in specific have become my normal, my everyday routine. It's comforting in a way to have these guys around, like the family that I didn't get to have. These past few days have been the best in my entire life dare I say. No more teasing and bullying from the other human around me. I don't care if they got taken over, I don't care if I never see them again. I just need my new family. Even if they're three robots who are slightly more attuned to my personality.

The day started exactly as the normal ones do, but there was something different. Something that was off in a way, and I didn't quite know what it was exactly. The air felt denser more... sad in a way. I looked at the calendar on the wall and saw exactly what it was. Today was the day. My birthday. I guess I didn't really see how close it was getting.
This would be my first birthday since the whole take over thing. My parents are gone but they were starting to visit less and less anyway so it's not like there was a lot of change. I get ready and go downstairs. I kind of miss the cleaning bots, seeing them in the morning and their polite little waves. But with the humans no longer making them doing our bidding, they no longer show up. I'm not sad about that part, just how big my house feels now.
"You know what'll cheer me up? Seeing my favorite bots!" I say to myself with mostly faked enthusiasm. I put on a small smile and make my way out the door. "What if I invite them to my house for a bit, that could work." I plan my idea out as I make my way to the first stop. The park a just down the street.
The trees were in full bloom as well as the flowers. It was beautiful to say the least. It smelled like honey and fresh rain constantly. Thanks to the robots who decided to take up gardening as a past time. Speaking of the gardeners, I approach my favorite bird brained one from behind.
It's a slightly older model and hasn't gotten the full vision part yet so one of my favorite hellos is to surprise it. I hug it from behind and giggle when it drops its watering can in its shock. It was only momentary before it hugs back.
"Good morning Tommy." It greets as it picks up the watering can and places it back on the shelf with the others. I follow as we then go to our favorite spot. A little bench looking out onto the little koi pond that was installed not to long ago.
"Good morning to you too Phil." Did I mention that I named them all? Well I did.
"How was your night last night?" It asks while pulling out the bag of fish food for the koi's that were starting to gather around us, knowing we were the ones with the food. It's become both of our everyday activities.
