A young woman sat on the balcony of a boat as it made its way to Africa. Her long black hair was half tied up in a white ribbon as it blew gently in the wind. She held her map into the sunlight before looking up of the boat the the approaching land. She wore a white button up shirt that was tucked into dark brown trousers and tall laced boots.
"Charlotte Nonna, we'll be arriving soon." Her younger brother Jungkook said as he walked up to her with a smile. She nodded and looked back at the nearing jungle with a determined gaze. The two were going to Cameroon a country in west Africa, that is mostly covered in thick jungles. They were preparing to study the native flora and fauna of the jungle. Little is known about the animals who inhabit the lush jungle because very few have come back alive. Charlotte and Jungkook were detriment to bring back knowledge and help the public more to understand the beautiful jungle. When they arrived they used a row boat to get to shore before venturing into the jungle to set up camp.
Charlotte used a machete to cut a path through the brush before they finally made it to a small clearing that was near to the river. They decided to stay there and began to unpack.
"Nonna?" Jungkook called.
"Yes?" She answered back
"Do you think the rumors are true? About the monster?" Jungkook asked with large doe eyes.
"We've been over this Kook, there just tall tails because the explorers didn't want to admit the lost to an animal. I'm sure its just a tiger or gorillas or something." Charlotte reassured. The few that did come back alive had all raved about the beast that roamed the jungle. "and don't worry about those either when you have your big sister to protect you," She went on before kissing his forehead and they finish setting up camp.

The sun was about to set on the siblings' first day in the jungle. Charlotte had left to find a view to paint while Jungkook stayed behind to prepare the food they brought. She walked through the thick jungle quietly listening to nature's mellow song when she found a cliff that had a gorgeous view of the sunset. She sat her bag down on the ground and pulled out her materials before she sat on a log and began painting. Off the cliff she could see a small water fall in the distance and thick jungle as far as the eye could see. She found herself getting lost in painting the addicting view. She hummed quietly along to the jungles sweet melody while she painted.
About 30 minutes later she heard something walk behind her and she glanced back expecting to see Jungkook telling her it's time for dinner but what she truly saw was something short of a miracle. A young man in a loincloth was standing behind her he held himself defensively when she turned around. His hair was long and unkempt, a thin layer of dirt covered his muscular body. But she payed no mind to any of that, instead she stared into his eyes, they held a fierce yet beautiful appearance that made her want to look closer.
She turned herself around completely to look at him but when she did she saw him back away just a bit, with his eyes narrowing suspiciously. A quiet growl escapes his throat as she walks forward slowly. She bent down slightly to seem less threatening and held out her hand to him.
He eyed her hand for a moment before coming closer into the light and placed his hand gently against hers. His was bigger and roughly calloused as they both looked to their connected hands.
"How peculiar you are..." She said in a hushed voice and inched closer. "I'm Charlotte," She said sweetly.
"Ch-Charlotte," He repeated. She smiled and nodded before Pointing to herself and saying her name again.
"Charlotte, do you have a name?" She asked but he showed no sign of understanding the question. She frowned slightly, it seemed he couldn't speak. If that was the case then there was no telling how long he had been in the jungle.
When steps began approaching the boy retracted his hand from hers and looked back at her before turning and running away. She watched him go before turning to the steps to see Jungkook and his dog Bam walking closer. He hadn't seen the boy.
"Dinners ready Nonna," He said and smiled at her before helping her up. Realization finally begins to hit her as she realizes what she's just seen. Who she had just seen, a jungle boy.
"Jungkook, you won't believe what I just saw," She said, looking at him with wide eyes.
