More than a Friend?? (fluff/smut)

It's official.

*TIMESKIP TO THE NEXT DAY WOOP WOOP*

Danny's pov:
I hardly got any sleep last night, I tried to spend my night playing video games and watching videos to get my mind off of Y/N, but they're the only thing I could think of. It was currently 10:19am, and I just barely woke up. I stayed in bed for at least 30 more minutes because I didn't want to get up, but finally I did, only because I was hungry. I did my morning routine, and then I went to the kitchen to eat a small breakfast. Since I haven't gone to the store in a week, I didn't really have a choice to have a bigger breakfast. I grabbed some cereal and ate while watching youtube.

*text message from my love❤️*

I smiled at the message, I opened it and read it

my love❤️ (Y/N): hey are we still meeting up for lunch?
Me: yeah yeah, let me just get ready
my love❤️ (Y/N): alright then, see you then ;)
my love❤️ (Y/N): I MEANT :) I PROMISE
Me: HAHAHAHAHA
Me: here's the address for the restaurant: West 72nd Street

I set my cereal bowl down in the sink and walked to my closet to get ready. I decided to dress casually, so I tossed my saturo gojo shirt and black jeans on and put on my doc martins, along with some occasional rings and necklaces. I then went to the bathroom to fix my hair, sprayed a little bit of my voltaire cologne, and grabbed my coat and drove to the restaurant.

Y/N's pov:
I was laying in my bed watching tiktok when I remembered that I was supposed to meet Danny for lunch. I texted him and he sent me the address for the place. I got up and I went to my closet to grab some clothes. i didn't want to come off too strong, but still look cute, so i grabbed (outfit of your choice). i put on my vans and went to the bathroom to take one final look at myself. I realized that I needed some jewelry, so I put on some rings and one heart necklace that Danny got me from a con a while ago. Was that a sign??? A heart necklace for your best friend??? Whatever. I grabbed my phone and I drove to the place.

No one's pov:
Danny got to the restaurant first. While he was about to text Y/N, they pulled up right next to his car. They both got out of their cars and awkwardly hugged each other. Both extremely nervous, they went inside the place and the waiter sat them down at their table.

"Hi you two, my name is Brandon, how are you guys doing today?" The waiter said, not knowing a thing in the world.

"Good." Danny and Y/N both responded.

"What would you like to drink sir" The waiter asked Danny.

"A water would be fine, thank you" He says politely.

"And you?"

"I'll take (your favorite drink) please" Y/N looks at the waiter with a small smile.

"Alright I will be back with those, give me a couple of minutes."

Brandon's pov:
I walk away from the table to get their drinks, I could tell something was going on between them. I had a feeling that they were on their first date, since they both looked super nervous. I grabbed their drinks and headed back over to their table.

"Here are your drinks, by the way, you two are adorable together" I said while setting the drinks down, giving them both a genuine smile, which is something I usually never do, since I hate working here. And with that, I walked away, hoping that I started something that could potentially turn into a beautiful relationship.

Danny's pov:
Oh god. Why the fuck would the waiter say that. I look over at y/n and saw that they looked at me with a slight blush plastered on their face. Meanwhile, right after I made eye contact with them, I look down at my hands, trying not to blush.

"Little does he know what's going on" I awkwardly laugh, to break the silence.

Y/N's pov:
I blush at the words the waiter said to us. I looked over to him, making eye contact with him, until he looked down at his hands trying not to blush, I smile at him because I knew he felt embarrassed.

"Little does he know what's going on" Danny says, trying to start a conversation.

"Yeah"
I say, lightly laughing, while trying to avoid the awkwardness

I take a sip of my drink while we waited for another waiter to come and take our order.

No one's pov:
Danny and Y/N are sitting in awkward silence, awaiting for someone to come take their order. A young man by the name of Arny comes and takes their order. Danny orders a BLT, while Y/N orders chicken strips with fries. The young man leaves them to prepare their order. About 15 minutes later, Arny comes back with their food.

"Here you go, if you guys need anything else just call me over, by the way, you guys are cute together" Arny says politely, also not knowing what was going on between them.

Once again, danny and y/n blush, both of them awkwardly thank Arny for his kind words. With that, he walks away, going to fulfill other orders.

Danny's pov:
Why does everyone assume that we're together?? We're just friends, right?? But I guess that's what we're here to talk about.

"So.."
I say, trying to get to the point.

"Look, I don't want to make you uncomfortable or anything, you mean a lot to me, we've been best friends for 3 years, and I wouldn't want to ruin our relationship with each other. I want to know what you think about us, because personally, I really like- no, I love you. And if you're uncomfortable with that, I completely understand, and we could just continue to be friends."
I say quickly, almost out of breath, anticipating what Y/N was going to say to me.

Y/N's pov:
I was in complete shock. I never knew he felt like that about me. It made me extremely happy knowing that he liked me back. I guess I zoned out, too caught up in my thoughts, because soon I heard Danny calling my name.

"Y/N? Are you okay? You don't have to feel pressured to like me back, I know that's a lot to take in."

I finally snapped out of my thoughts. I got a good look at him, I could tell he was nervous, I mean I would too. This man just poured his heart and soul out to me.

"I never knew you felt that way about me. Danny I've liked you for so long, you mean everything to me, you were always there for my times of need and you always make me happy. If we were something more, I would be completely okay with it, better yet, I would be glad to call you my boyfriend."

I saw his face light up, smiling that stupid cheesy smile once I finished talking. I miss that smile, it's been a while since I've seen him so happy. It made my heart beat faster than ever, and I smile back at him.

"Y/N... Do you wanna be my partner?"
Danny says, almost shaking with excitement.

"I would love to." I respond back to him.

He takes my hand, and kisses it ever so gently.

"OKAY LETS EAT NOW" He says, eager to eat his BLT

"You're such a dork" I told him, taking a bite out of my chicken strips.

"Hey, I'm your dork." He says smiling with food in his mouth.
