As I walked into Penola School, I continued to look down, not really caring if anyone was staring. I got a few smirks and glares, but I didn't seem to care.
I continued to walk, my converse scuffing the floor as I was walking across the tile flooring, the squeaking of the floor too quiet for my ears to pick up. All I kept hearing were the words 'She's ugly!' and 'I don't think she'll do very well with us, the slut..' being played and replayed in my head. So, I did the most sensible thing known to man (and woman) and continued to walk over to a reception desk, leaning over it to see the middle-aged woman with a bob cut of brown hair, her glasses on the bridge of her nose.
'Hello?...' I clear my throat just to make sure she heard me.
'Hello? Oh! I am sorry dear!' She smiled a very confident smile as I flashed one toward her, giggling quietly to myself and standing on my tiptoes.
'Haha, it is okay! I'm Steph, oh, I mean Stephanie Holness?... I'm new.' I nibbled on my lip nervously, swinging my legs a little.
'Oh yes!' She nodded and stood up, shuffling over to a pile of books and what looked like a timetable with my name and details on. The lady, whose name I think is Miss Burd, placed the books down onto the desk, smiling.
'Okay, Stephanie, these are your books you need for your lessons today. As you can see, the blank spaces are when you have free periods. You see? You can do anything in that time, but we do urge you to study.'
I smiled at her nodded knowingly, taking the timetable and books from her, thanking Miss Burd kindly and shuffled over to my locked with my name on.
As I entered my combination, I shrieked as a girl with long brown hair got pushed into me by accident by a group of young, burly boys who looked like the schools jocks. I quickly turned on my heels to face the girl who got pushed into me, gripping onto her elbow to support her and keep her up on her feet.
'Oh my god! I'm sorry, are you okay?!' She quickly asked as she picked up her books frantically from the floor, scavenging around and picking up her timetable.
I chuckled quietly and giggled, picking up her last book and placing it in her arms carefully. 'Of course I am, don't worry, it's you that looks more hurt...' I smile slightly as I nod over to the group of boys. 'Who are they?'
'Oh, them? I dunno.. They're in my year.. Never really talked to them to be honest. They're jocks though.' She giggles and grins, holding out her hand. 'I'm Kerry!' I quickly giggled after her and shook her hand, smiling. 'I'm Steph, nice to meet you, Kerry.. I um.... I'm new around here, I was wondering, maybe you could.. show me around?.. I couldn't help but notice you have most of your lessons with me?' She took a few seconds to think before nodding, a wonky smile appearing on her tanned, olive skin. 'Of course, Steph! Shall we go to Maths then?' I nodded and started to walk with her, my converse starting to scuff the floor again.

As soon as we arrived in Maths, I shuffled around to look at the whiteboard, grinning as I saw I sat at the front on the edge of the desk near the aisle, the boy beside me called Luke. I looked around to see if any boy looked like a Luke, but I couldn't see anyone so I shrugged to myself and sat down on my stool, taking out my pencil case, books. I shuffled out a bit before a old teacher with a walking stick walked into the room and sat down at his desk.
A few seconds later, a young boy with dark brown very wavy hair, a lip piercing and a very cute looking beauty spot on the bridge of his nose who looked around my age strolled into the room, taking of his snapback from the top of his head and sitting down next to me, ruffling his hair and putting the snapback on the desk in front of him and taking out his books and shuffling about on his stool and smiling brightly towards me and biting down on his lip piercing.
'Hello. I'm Luke.' He smiled brightly at me and nibbled on his lip. 'Hey... I'm Steph, nice to meet you Luke.' God, his accent sounded so hot.. No wonder all Australians are hot...
'Likewise Steph. I don't think I've seen you before?...' He asked himself questioningly as I shook my head, giggling cutely and swinging my legs. 'Oh, no, I'm new. Yeah, used to live in Perth, believe it or not! I grin and chuckle, gasping quietly as the teacher tells us to shut up. 'Bloody hell.. He's a bit tight, isn't he?' Luke just grins cheekily and nods, whispering back to me 'That's Mr Skinner.. He hates us all, I remember this time, I accidently bumped into him, and his teeth fell out!' Me and Luke both start chuckling loudly together, my eyes meeting his.

After the lesson ended, me and Luke were talking as we packed our stuff up, Kerry walking past me, smiling brightly and waited outside for me.
'So.. Steph, you seem like a nice girl.. How about.. we go to Hungry Johns one day?' He smiled hopefully down at me and I stood on my tiptoes to become his height and giggled, nodding quickly. 'Of course, when?' He quickly snatched a piece of paper out of his book and wrote down his number on it and passing it to me, winking. 'Text me, and we can sort it out?' I nodded once again before smiling and waving, slinging my backpack onto my shoulder and shuffling out of the classroom to be met with a very cheeky looking Kerry grinning at me.
I shrugged my shoulders at her and chuckles, nibbling on my lips. 'What? What's wrong?' She just chuckled at me and grinned, flipping her hair. 'Stephanie Holness, THAT IS LUKE BROOKS!' I nodded and clapped sarcastically 'No shit! What's so good about Lukey?' About halfway into the lesson, me and Luke made up names for each other, He is Luke Pookey and I am Stephie Wephie. Kerry shrieked and jumped up and down, grinning. 'You've got a date already, and it is only your first day!' I sighed quietly. 'Kerry, it isn't a date, we're just gonna go to Hungry Johns, and have a burger.'
She grinned at me and we both started to walk to our free period, walking outside and starting to walk back to my house.
Wow... Alot happened today..
