After an extremely exhausting session, Faye made her way home. She was ready to collapse in her bed, and forget about the night's events, when she spotted her manuscript sitting on the edge of her desk. Her mind wandered over what she was going to do, and suddenly she was hit with a wave of inspiration, and she marched over to her desk. Carefully picking up the large pile of paper, she walked into the kitchen and dumped it in the trash, almost breathing a sigh of relief. Heading back over to her desk, she sat down at her computer and began her rewrite.

It took her days, but with the help of Lisa constantly supplying her with food (she knew she'd forget to eat otherwise), and reminding her she could not survive on no sleep, she finally finished the book. And it was hers - a story she wanted to tell, regardless of what anyone may say, and she was proud of that. She took it to her publisher the very next day, excited for Claire to read what she had written.

Faye attended the class that evening, finding it much less nerve racking after admitting to herself that she really did need it. When she arrived, she noticed everyone was there except Lee, which didn't really surprise her as he was always late. But, as the class went on and he still didn't show up, she felt a sinking feeling in her stomach. Optimistically, she kept eyeing the door, failing to pay attention to Megan for longer than five minutes, but each time she was  gravely disappointed. Ironically, five weeks ago this would've been her ideal situation, but a lot had changed.

Deciding to take her chances, the next afternoon she headed over to the radio station, hoping to catch him before he left.

"Um, hi, I'm here to see Lee Latchford Evans?" she asked the receptionist

"He's just wrapping up his show now, you can head to room 15, it's just down the hall."

"Thank you," the blonde smiled, walking off in the direction she'd been given.

When she arrived, she knocked lightly on the glass, catching Lee's attention as he finished packing up his equipment. He gave a quick nod, allowing her to enter the booth, and she carefully opened the door, slipping into the room with him.

"So, you weren't at group last night. Doesn't that risk your court order?" she asked

"Miss me?" he shot back

"Actually, I came to thank you. I finished the book," Faye smiled softly

"That's great. Now you can focus on your wedding," Lee replied flatly, crossing his arms over his chest

"You know," she sighed, "this sounds crazy but I can't stop thinking about you."

Lee smiled briefly, before his impassive expression returned, "have you spoken to Kyle?"

"You and I barely know each other."

"So you're still gonna get married? Or you want to know if we have a chance before you break it off huh?" he asked

"That's not fair," she countered

"Sounds like you're walking a tightrope," he exhaled, "the one who makes it across doesn't need a net. I'm not gonna be your safety net."

Before she had a chance to respond, he picked up his things and left the room, leaving her alone with her thoughts. She sighed quietly, she knew he was right, but it didn't make it easy for her. She knew what she had to do, and she knew she had to do it right then or she'd lose her nerve.

Leaving the radio station, she headed on the route she knew too well, psyching herself out for what she knew was coming. She found herself at the door of the all to familiar building far too soon for her liking, but she headed up anyway, and knocked confidently on the door.
