Yesterday was my 18th birthday and my best friend asked me to come over to his house since I didn't celebrate properly. I' ve been friends with Megumi for half my live now so it's only natural that I' ve spend a lot of time with him and went over to his house every now and then. At the beginning, people were making false conclusions because of that but they eventually stopped when years passed and we still weren't dating. However, we usually never care what people are thinking about us.
I get ready and put on some shorts and a tank top since the weather is nice today and it's hot. On my way to leave the house I grab my phone and put it into the back-pocket of my shorts. When I arrived at Megumi's house I was surprised to see Nobara there as well.
N: Surpriise."
Y/n: Hii, so you could come after all?"
N: Yeah I managed to move my appointment but because of that I need to leave a bit early. I just wanted to come by and congratulate you."
I respond in a hug and tell her that I am happy that she made some time, only to pay me visit "on my birthday". We make our way to the backyard where Megumi's dogs were already located. I love both of them even tho they seem to like Nobara more than me. :,)
After a few hours of chattering, eating and drinking mixed stuff and losing to Megumi in a water-balloon-fight have passed, Nobara stood up and grabbed her purse.
N: I'll take my leave now. Thanks for inviting me over and I wish you a nice afternoon my friends."
Just like that we wave her off and watch her disappearing behind the house. The atmosphere had been nice the whole day and I wish that every day could be as careless as today. I finish my 4th plate of cake and go inside to grab some more drinks. That's when I bumped into him.
