Charlotte Forbes walked into her Fiancé's house after visiting her sister for a week. When she got near the kitchen she could hear someone's moaning her Fiancé's name.
She covered her mouth to stop the sob from coming out of her mouth. She quickly removed the ring he had proposed to her with and wrote a letter to him before putting it on the kitchen island and leaving quickly but quietly.
Klaus let Hayley leave and went downstairs to the kitchen to see something that he never wanted to see. He picked up a letter and tears sprung to his eyes when he realised what had just happened.

He took the ring and put it inside the jewellery box he got Charlotte that has all of her favourite pieces of jewellery he had got her inside of it.
He didn't think this day would ever happen. He knew it was all his fault that it did happen though. He knew that he would be happy if he saw Charlie happy with someone else knowing he brought it on himself.
8 months and 2 weeks later
"One last push Charlotte." Caroline told her sister who was giving birth to her last triplet.
With a paint cry and one big push a baby girl was born. Charlotte was exhausted to say the least and her eyes were closing fast.
She didn't get to hold her babies in time before her eyes closed and her heart stopped. Caroline knew that she had vampire blood but didn't want her sister to become what she is but it was already too late.
