♥06♥ No.10, Power Forward, Yukihime Fuyu

Kasamatsu claimed to have found a way to seal Sky's Shooting Guard's backwards-shot. In order to make the counter effective, he needed Moriyama's help.

Akina was able to get the ball when the 2nd quarter started. She passed the ball to Shiki and let her control the ball and keep it moving. The ball went from Shiki to Fuyu, and then to Akina when she's in the position to use her unorthodox shot.

"Not this time!" Moriyama was in front of Akina, showing her that he's more than just a Shooting Guard.

'Eh...his defence is pretty good.' Akina can't use her special shot this way.

Kasamatsu went in for the steal, he was able to slip past Shiki because Kise abandoned his mark and marked onto Shiki.

"Akina!" Shiki's shout for the brown haired girl was too late because Kasamatsu forced the ball from her hold, making it bounce to Moriyama's hold instead.

"Huh!?"

Moriyama performed his unorthodox shot, throwing the ball with zero rotations. The ball went in without a problem.

"Yes!"

"Mo(r)iyama-san, that was g(r)eat!" Hayakawa was happy for the 3rd year, he was expressing it a little too strongly but no one seemed to mind.

Natsuhi knew exactly what Kasamatsu deduced in order to stop Akina; Moriyama only put himself in a position where Akina needed to think before shooting, Kasamatsu will run away from his markers and go in for the steal. Since Akina's back was facing the basket, there's no way she could have seen Kasamatsu coming.

'There's no way for me or the others to go and help Akina out because the boys are changing their marks in order to cover for Kasamatsu to steal!' Shiki couldn't help but smile; this was the very first time a team broke their formation so perfectly. 'Speaking of it, the scores are increasing pretty slowly..." This can only mean neither team were letting their defences down.

"Don't underestimate Kaijou." Kasamatsu gave her the ball, "Come, I'll stop you again and again!"

Shiki can see the fire in his eyes; Kasamatsu was serious about winning. Seeing such a fire burning in his eyes made her want to extinguish it more and more.

"14-21, huh? Let's get the score up some more... Fuyu!" Shiki threw the ball at Fuyu without hesitating.

Fuyu was marked by Hayakawa, a Power Foward just like her. She doesn't know how good he was but she just needed to know that she has what it takes to be the team's Power Foward...

"B(r)ing it on, Snow P(r)incess!" Hayakawa shouted, prepared to have a one-on-one with Sky's Power Forward.

Fuyu let out a quick breath and she bounced the ball one last time with her right hand before showing off her speed as she weaved past Hayakawa in the blink of an eye. Hayakawa couldn't react to her because she was too fast for him. Fuyu completely blocked out everything else and focused completely on driving her way to the goal. She weaved past the combined defence of Kobori and Moriyama.

'She's so fast!' Kobori thought.

'Even I have no idea how Fuyu does it but she can force her way past the defence with the ball. She is like an avalanche when she is making her way to the basket; there is no stopping her' Shiki thought with confidence. She's always confident her teammates were capable of helping her crush the opposing team.

Fuyu was prepared to shoot but Kise was already jumping in front of her to take the ball if she tried anything.

Fuyu did not shoot. Instead, she moved the ball down and did a pass.

'Pass?! There is nobody-' Before Kise can say there's nobody there, Harumi got the ball and shot the ball in, earning the team another 2 points.

14-23.

Kise landed on his feet. Kise realized that it's not that the team was strong based on their skills; they effectively and constantly place themselves into positions where if one attacker's attack was unsuccessful, there's always a backup attacker. While they do that, they also limit what their opponents can do by standing in certain spots on the court.

"Kasamatsu-senpai, leave it to me..." Kise said to his Senpai.

'The look in his eyes has changed... Is it because we are not in the lead in this quarter that he's fired up?' Kasamatsu wondered.

The girls were confident they can take the next two quarters starting from this moment.

"Kise!" Kasamatsu passed the ball to Kaijou's ace.

In return, Kise weaved his way to Sky's goal with the same ball handling skill as Fuyu just did. He may be a Small Forward but he can perform the same thing as a Power Forward can because of his miraculous skill. He weaved past Shiki's stealing attempts and even dunked the ball in when Natsuhi was defending.

'He moved exactly like Fuyu did!' Shiki didn't think the blonde would be that strong on the court, "I think I know who the ace on the team is." She said to Kasamatsu.

"Hmph, glad to see you acknowledge us. This is where we turn the game over!"

40-28...

Kaijou was in the lead, something Shiki did not expect at all. Kise was impossible to stop because he's using his copying skills to counter them back.

"It's like he's got a memory bank in his head where he stores the moves he has copied..." Harumi said in the middle of a break.

Natsuhi looked at Shiki with a worried face, "Shiki, I don't know if we are able to win after all..."

"It's true that guy is copying all of our movements." Shiki won't deny that Kaijou's got an amazing ace on their team, "That doesn't mean we can't get points. As long as we separate the ball from Kise and score from there, we can still get points."

"What is your plan?" Natsuhi asked Shiki.

"You're the plan." Shiki smiled at Natsuhi.

"My turn, huh?" The blonde was surprised to hear that.

The game resumed and all players gathered on Sky's half of the court. Natsuhi took a deep breath and Shiki ran all the way to Kaijou's basket.

'Why is she going all the way there?' Kasamatsu wondered.

Natsuhi passed the ball to Akina. The boys stayed within range, in case she is ready to perform her special throw. Akina faced them all and threw the ball in the air.

The boys looked at the brown haired girl with confusion to her action.

Natsuhi jumped for the ball, she did a spin and launched the ball up in the air from Sky's post to Kaijou's post. The boys can only watch it go out of their reach, even for Kobori and Kise.

The ball hit the post and it bounced back down for Shiki to grab it to jump and throw the ball into the basket.

The girls managed to be 10 points behind, slowly catching up.

"From this point on, we'll play with all of the cards on the table!" Shiki challenged the boys.
