I fished my phone out of my pocket, and texted Sana to say that Jake and I were outside. I didn't mention the dispatcher, so they wouldn't get worried.
Jake and I were still in this weird little corner inside the building, and it was getting awkward really fast. The dispatcher was still out there, but I couldn't tell if they had followed us or not.
"How about we just make a run for it? I bet Sana and Tzuyu will understand once we explain," Jake said, after taking off his skates.
"What a dick move. We can't just leave them!" I really hoped Jake wasn't one of those guys who just ditched whenever he wanted to.
"I mean you do you. I dunno if you want boyfriend accusations or not."
"OKAY...ok, let's go. Stand in front of me when we get to the counter, so no one will see you."
And so, we went with no complications or dispatch reporters. Sana and Tzuyu said it was okay, and if it wasn't then...too bad.
