"Where is she?!" He screamed with barely controlled rage. It here been days since he slept, and the dark bags were prominent under his eyes. His hair was messier than usual, and his clothes were disheveled. But he didn't care. The only thing at mattered was finding Annabeth.
"Son, please-"
"No! She's gone and I know you had something to do with it!" He locked eyes with Hera, who was trying to avoid her gaze. "You," he spat. "It was you. What did you do with her?" She backed away as his hand fell to the sword hanging on his belt.
"I- I had to. Something's changing-"
"I don't care! I want her back! Now!" The throne room shook with the boy's power.
Zeus stepped between them. "We can't bring her back now. She plays too large a part in the upcoming war. You both do."
"We already fought for you! My friends died for you! Why can't you leave me alone?! What did we do to deserve this?! I don't care what you do, by until you bring her back, I'm done being a hero. Until I get Annabeth back, I won't lift a finger to help you." He turned on his heel and walked out of the throne room, then turned back and three the sword at the wall next to Hera's head, where it stuck and quivered. The doors slammed shut behind him and the anger hung in the air.
Poseidon turned to his sister. "I hope it was worth it. My son will never help you now. And you better be ready if he can't find her. He'll be coming for you."
