The young man had long since been in search of a prophet after he rid himself of his first. He believed she was irrelevant and much more lackluster than any other prophet ever to have lived, through she was not. The Nostrade family fell from power due to his rage.
Finally, he had found one.
Gon sit before the blonde woman who twirled her hair impatiently. Though she appeared to be younger than the man before her, she is well on her years, aging almost sixty years now.
"Young man—"
"Your Majesty." He corrected.
"As your elder, I will address you how I see fit." She glared. "Now, young man, what is it you need?"
With reluctance and the gritting of his teeth, he responded to the defiant woman.
"I will do something important for this territory. With the awfully saddening death of my father just a few weeks ago, I want to be sure we will be successful. That I will be successful."
She hummed and nodded, preparing her supplies for her prophecy.
After the prophecy was foretold, written on a tea stained sheet of paper, the man snatched it up into his grasp, reading over every word surely and carefully, analyzing everything.
Rose buds bloom on the sixteenth day of the sixth month
The success of the deepest desire
A full moon rises on the seventh day of the seventh month
The success of the deepest abhorrence"So, I succeed." The Gon grinned, looking up to the woman for clarification.
"I'm not sure. Most of my prophecies, I don't exactly interpret. That's up to you." She answered with a dreary sigh.
And Gon began his preparations, he did, dancing around the castle as if he did not have plenty things to do. Abandoning royal duties as King and sacrificing time he did not usually have. But it was all worth the price, because he would succeed in his mission. As for the "downfall" bit, he'd simply not stay around for the seventh day of the seventh month. Sevens were never his number anyways.

On the other hand, the young prince, Killua Zoldyck, had not bothered with a prophecy. He was sure enough of his plans and his success rate that no prophet could deter him of his sure success.
He did, however, set out...auditions, of a sort, for a left-hand-man. A royal advisor, but also a companion to follow him into the unannounced and unprovoked war he'd be starting soon.
And, though many had been submitting their files and setting up meetings with him, the majority were highly unqualified or simply hung onto the obsession with meeting and greeting the prince, soon-to-be king. Women, elderly, children, scrawny and other under qualified individuals were swiftly escorted from the palace.
It was certainly disappointing and disheartening to see no truly qualified individuals show their faces. Either way, the war would be started, so, I suppose, Killua wanted a ride-or-die companion. The thought of dying alone was nerve wracking and the action sure was not on the prince's bucket list. But he was Killua Zoldyck. He would never die.
"Master Killua," Gotoh addressed, bowing submissively and daring not to look into the eyes of the prince. "There's one last individual who'd fancy becoming your companion."
"A woman?"
"No, Your Majesty."
"A child? Elder? Greed blinded, severely underfed, an obsessive fan of mine?" The young prince sat up in his seat, intrigued by the fact that this could possibly work. Perhaps not all was lost.
"No, Your Majesty." Gotoh confirmed. "He is of great build and shape, comes from a fairly wealthy background and has a very high education level."
"And you're sure?"
"Yes, Your Majesty."
A brisk walk towards the massive foyer of the palace later, and the silver haired prince stood before a man that very well fit the description his royal advisor had just given moments ago. The individual bowed.
"Your Majesty," Gotoh started, gesturing to the individual no older than the prince himself. "May I introduce you to Gon Junhito?"
