You tried to go back to sleep as sunlight streamed in through the open window. It was no use, and your ears started tuning in to the sound of voices from your laptop. You must have left the news stream on last night.
"The stone beings are scattered all over Paris. For the time being, they are showing no signs of movement. Police have cordoned off the area." Said the female reporter.
"We won't stop until we find a way to get these people back to their normal selves. But for now, we're not making much headway." Said the Mayor.
"Paris is relying on our new guardian angels, Ladybug and Cat Noir, to save us all. Our lives depend on them." Said the female reporter.
Right. Ladybug and Cat Noir... Man, yesterday was so tiring...
Suddenly your eyes snapped open, and you quickly sat upright. Your memories flooded back, and you ladied your eyes on the captured Akuma on your desk. It was still just sitting there. You gave a small sigh, glad that it hadn't managed to escape. Had you really been so careless that you had fallen asleep?
You got up and stretched, before changing out of your dirty clothes from yesterday. You once again just grabbed an outfit from the top of the pile. You really needed to finish unpacking...
You put a stack of books on-top of the trapped Akuma for Extra safety. You then closed the window and turned off your computer. You tried turning on your phone, and got confused when the screen remained black. Right... You still haven't charged it...
With a sigh, you plugged it into the charger, before heading downstairs. The pile of baked goods was still on the table, but you honestly didn't feel like eating pastries for the 3rd day in a row... You checked the fridge, but it was still empty. With a sigh you reluctantly sat down at the table and ate another pastry. Your body's going to hate you for this.
While you are, you notice another note on the table.
'Morning Honey! Sorry I missed you again last night, and this morning. I promise we'll get used to these new work hours soon. I should be able to see you tonight, and we can order some pizza.
love you!'
You smiled a little bit, and started looking forward to tonight. And at the opportunity to eat something different. You glanced up at the clock when you finished eating, and froze. Shit! You were gonna be late again!
You rushed upstairs to quickly grab your bag, and ran out of the house. Once again, you had to double back to lock the damn door. You managed to make it to school on time luckily (only getting lost once), and got waved over by Alya and Marinette. Alya held up her phone to show you a blog site.
"Ladyblog: bringing you all the latest news about the coolest superhero: Ladybug! How cool is that? Check out the number of views since I posted the video." Said Alya excitedly.
"Nice. I saw the video on the news the other day." You commented.
"It was awesome right? Oh, and don't forget I'm going to interview you today at lunch."
You groaned.
"Yeah I remember. I don't get why it's such a big deal though. You were there to see the whole thing."
"But you were the one to actually fight side by side with superheros! You even helped Ladybug come up with her name! I still can't believe how brave you were to just go out there like that." Praised Alya.
"It's not like there was much to be scared of. It seemed like they two of them were getting a Handle on things."
"Why do you both trust them so much? I mean, all these stone beings..."Marinette spoke up worried.
